Not every 9T..but most of the 9T phone had them.

This isn't as locked down as Apple ki... morelock down or not, phones are made with the intention of using its original hardware and software together. Otherwise they will just sell you hardware without any OS.
You can, but doesn't mean you should, or encouraged by manufacturer.

[deleted post]Oh there were a few. Mind you I still love my phone and I bought the phone on the first day of the launch so I am one of the first few customers. The best phone I have used till now by far. Second only to the old Mi 3 that I loved but broke unfortunately as I dropped it :(
So coming to the bugs there were a few at the beginning. I was actually very happy with the battery life of almost 8 hours SOT. However after one patch I was lucky to get 4 hours SOT. Sometimes less. The issue was rectified after almost 4 - 5 months as I lived with horrible SOT times. They improved to around 6 hours but then another patch and its gone down to 4.5 - 5 hours again.
So not terribly happy with the battery life considering I know it can give a lot better battery life but poor software reduces it. My friend is running on a custom ROM and he gets 6 - 7 hours battery life easily so its definitely the software.
Other than that sometimes the phone gets sluggish and the touch screen lag at times becomes very bothersome. But I love the calibrated screen, the excellent camera (after GCAM), the robust build (I have dropped it a couple of times without any issues), the stereo speakers, the 3.5mm jack (such a rarity these days), and the excellent performance during games.
