Some of us would prefer a device that actually offers something new for that expense.

I wish I could know under what kind of circumstances it broke down though. Did it happen after it was dropped onto the ground, did particles enter the hinge and messed up the display like what happened to the review units of Galaxy Fold, or did the user do something to do to the device itself, like trying to peel off the film or bending it in a wrong direction... Or, was it just a faulty unit? It's impossible to judge anything from that video without any given context.
