Dometalican, 27 Dec 2019I'm sensing, just like the Mi 9, that this means we're getting a sub-4,000 mAH battery. IDK wh... morebecause, in case you forgot to charge, with some minutes of preparation your phone can last at least long enough until you found another power source
and for most people, it's actually more useful than having more than 1 day battery life.
i honestly don't understand why people who stuck on their home and office for 20 hours a day whining for big battery. if you go camping once in a while then brought a powerbank, it would give you more battery life than any phone could ever wish
the only people that i think actually need it is people with rugged phone like caterpillar and it's obviously has a different market
Mossman, 27 Dec 2019Slow charging speeds actually gives you better battery life unless you go ahead and buy a new ... moreRight. Back then, people were warned not to use their phones while charging but look now, everyone is plugged in to the wall or their bricks.
Can't even charge most phones these days turned off as they things automatically turn themselves on once 5% charge is reached.
AnonD-833125, 27 Dec 2019Yeah, that was something Apple "sold" to their customers just to explain their tiny batteries ... moreMaybe because they do not use them heavily or change them on the 2nd year or earlier.
So they never get to see possible problems. Meanwhile, the poor customer who buys the used/refurb phone...
Mossman, 27 Dec 2019Slow charging speeds actually gives you better battery life unless you go ahead and buy a new ... moreYeah, that was something Apple "sold" to their customers just to explain their tiny batteries and their ridiculous 5W charger.
But, nowadays Apple has 4000mah batteries and quick charging, with even 29W charger. So, it was more marketing stuff.
I don't think is any danger in loosing or changing the battery in 2 years of usage of the phone.
Besides, I don't see people with quick charging capable phones, complaining that their batteries are unusable after 12 months. And they are quite a lot phones like that nowadays.
IpsDisplay, 27 Dec 2019Because people can then charge in real time instead charging to 100% overnight And I bet yo... moreEven then, you're adding fuel to the obvious fire that phones should have larger capacities so they don't need to constantly be charging. Charging fast is nice but power users would prefer better overall battery life.
So where is the smaller version of Mi 10? iPhone 11 Pro should have more competitor. Some people prefer smaller phone especially women. Too many big Android phone right now. I mean more than 6.2 inch.
AnonD-833125, 27 Dec 2019Please implement this to all phones in 2020. At least 25W charger and 4000mah battery. I wil... moreSlow charging speeds actually gives you better battery life unless you go ahead and buy a new phone every year.
I'mPhone, 27 Dec 2019Not to mention super fast charging heats up the phone a lot. That's no good for the internals ... moreYou are wrong. Super fast charge does not necessarily makes phone to heat up. my Redmi Note 7 Pro charges very fast and does not heat up.
I'mPhone, 27 Dec 2019Not to mention super fast charging heats up the phone a lot. That's no good for the internals ... moreThe non-VOOC ones(USB-PD and QC)heat the the phone much more than the VOOC/Dash/Warp does,Idk what you are talking about
tehyadro, 27 Dec 2019Exactly. Companies should start implementing the technology already. Even Samsung is behind,... moreSamsung already gives 45w charging unlike Apple which gives meagre 18w like its 2016.
I'mPhone, 27 Dec 2019Not to mention super fast charging heats up the phone a lot. That's no good for the internals ... moreThat used to be the case in first few generations of fast charging.
No longer the case
You know people if you don't want fast cahrging you can freely use a slower one but its a good option to have fast charging so when in hurry you can top up fast otherwise I would suggest using regular charging
Dometalican, 27 Dec 2019I'm sensing, just like the Mi 9, that this means we're getting a sub-4,000 mAH battery. IDK wh... moreBecause people can then charge in real time instead charging to 100% overnight
And I bet you didn't know charging to full degrades the battery very quickly in a year
If it can charge this quickly you can make it a habit to charge your phone to 70-80% max every day
Nick Tagataka, 27 Dec 2019Just when I thought being able to top up the battery in an hour is such an amazing thing... Xi... moreNot to mention super fast charging heats up the phone a lot. That's no good for the internals and it's not really possible for the phone to be used while charging. I prefer the standard fast charging (non VOOC) solution.
I'm sensing, just like the Mi 9, that this means we're getting a sub-4,000 mAH battery. IDK why people care about faster charging rather than a battery that can last 2+ days. Sure, bigger battery adds bulk but constantly charging the phone kills the amperage after a year.
Abhi-Darth-Plagueis, 27 Dec 2019What we need is a companies Getting behind a universal fast-charging standard. Enough of this ... moreIt's the charging architecture that dictates these seemingly "proprietary" hardware to be used. They're there due to their electrical requirements. It's NOT like Apple using T2 chip to limit hardware compatibility or prevent 3rd-party repair.
Alex 94, 27 Dec 2019U have great 5000 mah redmi 8 phone for 110€ Also specs are ok. It will last 2 days for sure.Well, I was talking about all companies, not just Xiaomi.
To be honest, I don't like so much Xiaomi phones, because of MIUI.
I had a Xiaomi Mi8, I return it after 2 weeks. I remembered the bad days of Samsung Touchwiz software.
But yeah, hardware and price wise, they are very good.
