One doesn't turn a year when they're born; they turn 0 year. They only become a year old a year after they were born.

Funny seeing people that probably did maths saying that numbering starts from 1…sorry, it's actually sad.

This makes some sense, as it will unify their naming scheme with the A and M series. This will also give Samsung further headroom for an even more ultra flagship if they want to, like Galaxy S3x, 4x, and so on, and they can reserve the S1x as the “budget” flagship if needed.

Anonymous, 31 Dec 2019And I just bought an S10+ today.... Couldn't you guys post this earlier Will unless you've been living on another planet, the information regarding the next Samsung Galaxy phone has been on here for quite a few weeks now.

I'm just ignoring all the rumours and conjecture that's going around and I'll wait until the formal launch announcement is made, before deciding on my next phone. Whether it be a Samsung, Oneplus or other brand of android device.

One thing that's certain is that it won't be an iPhone/Apple device.

Anonymous, 31 Dec 2019Understandable. At the end they are removing useful hardware features from the last generation... moreThey'd remove ports first, like the rumored iphone.

Guess it's the price to pay when you have most of the mass consumers getting distressed with the existence of holes in their beautiful devices. Or have problems trying to insert a micro usb cable.

People started counting at year 1. There is no year 0. So count. Year 1, Jan 1 is the start.

How many years have passed by the end of Year 9, Dec 31st? Is it a decade yet?

When is ten years after Jan 1, Year 1? Is it Jan 1 Year 10, or Jan 1 Year 11? Count on your fingers of you have to.

Every single decade starts on the 1. 1-10 is the first decade. 11-20 is the second. 21-30 is the third. Keep counting until the 203rd decade.

Understandable. At the end they are removing useful hardware features from the last generation. So they must name it and call it different as this phones joins now the Club of the featureless overpriced flagships. If you remove the cameras is the most simple phone out there, as simple as the mechanism of a pacifier...

Stop for a moment. Imagine your perfect smartphone but named samsung sml20xts100.
Are you gonna buy it or you will pass it just because of the bad naming.
Specs is what matters, naming is only for advertisement.

The name just got more confusing then. S20, Note 10, S10e, S10 Lite, A91, A71, A50, A01, M30s. Some number +1 for newer, some +10, some bigger number is higher tier, some bigger number is newer, some small number newer. And then you have +, e, s, 5G, Pro at the end
