Scratches al... moreAny part of the screen can have its touch input disabled. Including the part displaying image, such as the curved edges. This is a non-issue.
The final version was said to receive glass over the screen, instead of bare plastic. Hence it would starts receiving scratches at a mohs level 6, with deeper grooves at level 7. Same as any other non-folding smartphone.

I will never buy it but Xiaomi need to release it as soon as possible. It is better than any foldable phone.

Another failure... moreI hope you meant this as a joke, but in case it wasn't: Not all parts of the display/digitizer has to be active for input at all times. Parts can also be setup for a specific type of input. I.e. not responding to palm, but to a single finger etc.

Love the Community, 02 Jan 2020Mi Mix 4 died for this, just think about it. I hope they start developing Mi Mix 5 because of this.Apart from the initial mi mix (which was ticking all boxes apart from camera) all the rest were not that good. There were plenty of phones better than them, their hype was unwarranted, so I am ok if the series dies. After all baseless phones is the norm now. It looked cool back in 2016, by now they look sad.

They didn't release the Mi Mix 4 because of this. They can at least try to release the Mi Mix 4 now after Mi 10 so that we can experience the real immersive notchless experience we all want.

Fair play to them. It's good we support innovative designs. Give the company credit. They are trying something different in a positive way. So even if there are a few hiccups along the way. At least they are trying to bring something different to you. This is where art and design meets technical aspects.

Mi Mix 4 died for this, just think about it. I hope they start developing Mi Mix 5 because of this.
