Anonymous, 02 Jan 2020The specs don't sound "lite" to me. Sounds like a fairly competent flagship. No word on wireless charging? Bet it will be left out to save cost.

On the top of my head l, I'd say this 'tilt-OIS' might be something akin to what Apple has talked about - instead (or in addition to) the lens moving around to compensate for the camerashake, the sensor also moving around inside.

This may go down as the best 'Lite' phone in history.

On a serious note I don't see anything Lite about it.

It has a larger screen than the S10 and the S10+. It has a larger capacity battery than the regular S10 and the S10+. Same base storage and RAM as the S10 and S10+ and same fingerprint scanner under the display. It has the same Snapdragon 855 chipset like the rest of the S10 family (including the S10 5G). It has a higher megapixel count in one of the camera lenses at the back as well as a higher megapixel count in the front camera and better OIS technology to top it off. It has faster charging than the rest of the S10 family (including the S10 5G) so please somebody tell me, what is "Lite" about this phone? I'm curious to see the price because Lite phone are USUALLY the cheapest.

WHY calling it lite then? Is it because they're out of pluses and pros?

Love the Community, 02 Jan 2020Bruh, the only difference between 855 and 855+ is just an overclock. Think of Asus RoG Phone 1... moreIt's basically the same core, same cpu and gpu... So an overclocked one is better than the normal one

Let's hope that it has a headphone jack just like Note 10 Lite and the S10 series.

Think of Asus RoG Phone 1... moreDude you should say that the overlock number doesn't really make big difference but tiny.. The higher performance prime with extra clock speed obviously has a better single core performance.. That's what I'm saying.. Or the note 10+ sd version beat the OnePlus 7t pro in speed test so I really don't care about overall mutli cores based performance..

Looks very nice, actually. No awful edge nonsense, better camera placement in the centre instead of upper right, better OIS, and the size looks good as well - not a smaller size or anything.
Now if they offer this for a decent price - 500€ would be the maximum, better below. You can easily get a regular S10 (non-lite) for 600€, *new*, or 500€ used, very good. So anything above 500€ for the S10 Lite, *new*, would be a rip-off.

Think of Asus RoG Phone 1's binned 845. The original one runs cooler and I don't think it makes a difference other than being fast and hotter.

Higher quality Cores and more core (CPU and GPU wise) power matters more than clock speeds.

The normal 855 is still an amazing performer and the + only brings marginal improvements. Pretty sure you wouldn't know the difference except if you look at numbers only.

Hopefully this isn't all hype

The redmi k30 never highlighted it's stabilization

And it's eis is beating flagships with ois...

Sometimes these hyped up next gen tech are just fluff

Ultrasonic fingerprint tech was supposed to be better right.. look at all the problems that brought...

Hopefully I'm wrong tho
