I would be exited if at least some Android manufacturers would provide OS support as good as Apple with iPhones and iOS. Since Oreo, thanks to Project Treble, it would actually be fairly easy to do, but even Google themselves is not doing it.

OEMs were doing this in purpose, by putting lower capacity batteries and Huawei used this opportunity to nail them all :)
Now everyone is following them with 4500mAh and more.... but...they already lost piece of Pie.

None above, it all about software clean, privacy and frequent security updates, costumers also expects phones to last at least two days before charging, and acronyms it's just so annoying

Only gamers need/deserve what's best....or considered/passed off as the best? Even if you are paying 800-1500 for a phone??
No...but that's why these companies are getting away with it. Charging such prices while advancement has slowed so much. With planned obsolescence too. Yes they are nice devices, but it's just packaged and presented well.
You get comfortable and don't have to try as hard anymore. And get to recycle more. But profits stay amazing.

You don't even understand these cameras or the ones coming. Let alone the fact they could have advanced our 12mp ones better the last few years....in 7 years hdr, speed, low light got better. But quality got worse.
Just one aspect....

They are dropping metal because of Qi charging.
I prefer glass or plastic. Metal scratches easier if person does not like case.

This design (Htc One M8, LG G Flex, Sony XZ2, Asus zenf... moreOK, then don't make the rear panels curved. Problem solved. I just miss the metal design. Most recent phone with one was the Essential Phone and it feels SUPER sturdy. Like someone here said, if we're dropping so much money on a phone, it shouldn't be as fragile as...glass...pun intended.
I stand by what I said. HTC would come back in TRUE glory if they release those 2 re-issues as flagships with updated specs and bringing back older specs like the Headphone jack and IR blaster.
