I'm very confused. Why the heck would Samsung sell S10 Lite more expensive than the original S10 variants? By the way for the very first time the Note is cheaper than S for some reasons

I'm sure "Lite" is supposed to imply the small size of the phones. A 6.7" has the same width has the same width as a 5.6" 16:9 screen, still the size of a phablet.

What's so wrong about an overall flagship like S10? Weighing 157 grams, medium sized and all performance and novelties.

I'm totally confused to the point of these handsets (if they're this expensive, with lower specs).
Plus, one has 3.5mm jack, other has not? What? Camera choices are strange too, one has the best OIS ever, while cameras are lower spec than flagship, going even as low end as f/2.0.

Plus, I can see others getting confused too in comments. So, I'm not sorta alone,

I've checked Samsung Global Newsroom's website about Note10 Lite and despite the lack of IP ratings like the standard Note10 or Note10+, it does have Samsung Pay service. Lucky me for not thinking about buying the Note10+.

Samsung should get rid of Exynos for their flagship phones in all markets and stop shortchanging their International market customers, because:
1. Battery life for those using Exynos SoCs suck, as like an hour or more less compared to their counterpart SD SoCs (SD 855 vs. Exynos 9820).
2. Performance also lags behind SD. Benchmarks are lower by a considerable amount.
3. Wireless performance also sucks. Exynos SoCs and Apple as well have among the weakest wireless connectivity reception among the devices. Snapdragon and Huawei SoCs from my experience using various devices have the best wireless connectivity.

I guess the true capabilities and user experience can only be judged after using one of these. I like the square and rectangular design elements, the larger batteries, and the little new additions and changes. Samsung has obviously compromised on certain aspects of the hardware to make up for the reduction in pricing. The questions is do the missing bits and the new additions, add to be a better smartphone experience, than mid rangers that claim to be flagship level smartphones, but don't really give that feeling.

I guess the new lite duo need a complete and comprehensive hands-on.

kylesukiyaki, 03 Jan 2020You guys say it's pointless, but this will be my next phone. It seems like a worthy modern-day... moreWell even the weakest flagship will be a good upgrade from your note 4.
But judging if a phone is good or not comparing it with a 6 year old phone is out of sence.

Anonymous, 03 Jan 2020Agree with you on topic of s10lite. S10 can be bought for same, or even lower price. However,... moreNote fans looking for a 3.5mm jack and flat screen are cornered with the Note 10 lite. And regular Note limited to 256gb max has no card slot so it's also a no-go for people. Especially now that we have 1Tb cards coming up.

@SAMSUNG: Just give use the Note 10 with the resolution as the big brother and we're fine.
If you would make flat screens, a majority would be happier too.
And even more if you finally would stop making all the features exclusive to the plus model only.
(I was surprised when you kept the high resolution for S10. Please keep that way for new generation.)
