Nokia fan, 13 Apr 2012yeah, even if the 1st gen symbian^3 get this update, their processor won't have any changes. t... moreBut CPU of C6-01, C7, E6, E7, N8, X7 were shiped on frequency 680 MHz which is downclocked from 1 GHz because of limitations of Symbian ^3 and Anna and better durabilitiy of battery, but Belle doesn't have that kind of limitations so i guess there will be MOD or custom ROM you can OC the CPU to the factory frequency if Nokia woldn't OC it. The main problem in the first generation of Symbian ^3 devices is small amount of RAM, the freaking low amount of memory on c partition and obligatoriness of installing the programs on it(which is still the problem on all of new devices) and on N8 samll amount of ROM.
I just updated my Nokia 701 to Belle FP1 dialling *#0000# on my phone. Belle FP1 made my 701 faster than before but 20 more aren't updated. Also some great transition effects are applied through the update. Notification bar is not improved, like the task manager. The notification bar is the same like it was in the original Nokia Belle. But still my phone is showing 3G signal instead of 3.5G signal. My 701 is running too faster and doesn't slow down even if 25 processes running in background.
Don't worry, maybe FP1 just hasn't been rolled out for your country. My 701 also didn't receive an update yet (location Germany). Hang on, we'll get it :)
Thanks to Nokia for still supporting Symbian (which in my opinion is a salient OS for recent smartphones, i really appreciate it).

Hi guys. How are you doing? I need to know that is this update is only for 700,701,603 sets? Is Ñ8 is out of it??
The life of any man, nation, company is either like a sine or cosine curve. It either starts @ d troughs or d peaks but over time it reverses. Nokia is probably in d troughs now but will surely come back to d peak. I love Samsung, bought @least 3 of their phones in d past & presently had 2 led TVs made by them & other products & wish them all well.
Guys don't fight over them, let them compete, innovate & bring more superb products for us all @affordable price & we'll all be winners.
