The A51 was introduced on new year bundled with Samsung 10000 mah worth 300LE ( 18.6 $ ) all for 5350 LE (332,3 $) including 14% VAT. The A71 is not announced yet.

Anyone buying these phones clearly needs to go back to school. Realme X2 PRO and Oneplus 7T are the best options at similiar price range.

Even Samsung have better phones for that price, S10 is about 400 euros now, brand new.. Yes we know, price will drop, soon, like always, but price of Galaxy A51 in Europe need ti be max 300 euros, and even that is to much (A50 with same build, similar screen, is 200 euros), even Galaxy A70, better phone is about 250€ brand new, now. But then again, in EU Huawei phones sells less and less (because of Google services..) So who know, maybe Samsung can put those prices or even higher.

When I compare these two prices, I would definitely say A71 is charged premium..... BTW, I am using Samsung A50 and been using Samsung handsets for the past 10 years and I want Samsung to win.... But they need to definitely standout in the crowded market by differentiating themselves not just by price alone.....If they want to charge premium, then it has to be justified....

It is high time that Samsung highlights USP's of their handsets vs other competing handsets. Samsung has to justify why a consumer has to pay more for a Samsung Device in compared with other competing handsets.. Maybe these are the USP's I can think of:
- AMOLED
- Punch Hole Display
- One UI
- Hardware Quality
- Rigorous Quality Testing
- Solid Build
- Periodic Updates
- After Sales Service
- Camera Sensor
- etc
Its not only for consumers, but also for Samsung itself to understand why they are superior than other handsets. I am worried if Sasmung will turn like Nokia or Motorola. I still stand with Samsung because I believe they use first quality hardware components and they well test the handsets, so they are greatly reliable and safe compared to others.
I believe inorder to standout among the crowd, Samsung has to seriously consider the following for their mid-range handsets, if they want to charge premium price:
- Metal Body (Original A5 & A7 had this)
- IP68 rating (Why not when you charge premium)
- OIS (Original A5 & A7 had this)
- Great Picture Quality (No point in coming up with 3 or 4 cameras with crappy quality)
- 120hz display (Why Not, when you are the leading display producer)
- Removable Battery (Why Not, when it is a plastic body and no wireless charging)
- 3 major software updates (Why Not, when you charge premium)
- 3 years of monthly security updates (Why Not, when you charge premium)
Finally no point in ripping customers and gaining huge profit margin, when you want to keep refreshing the product every 4 months (A50, A50S, A51).
I trust Samsung will think about this and innovate their future handsets when their midrange handsets (like A71) price almost touches the Asus Z Series, Realme X2 Pro series, Redmi K Pro series, OnePlus series, etc....

Seriously!! why would anyone with a sane mind buy these cheap plastic phones with weak crap when there are phones like honor 20, k20 pro, realme x2 pro for similar price range. They are gonna reduce the price pretty soon and still these half baked devices wont sell.
