Before i had HP for 987 euros it lasted 6 years the the graphic card cooling burned to the death and thats was the end of my HP.
Basic repair was 20 and worked for a week.
For a complete repair they asked 400 euros so i bought new laptop which is above said Asus J5 series or something like that.
We will see how long will last this one.

You'll be replacing or massively upgrading either at that point.
Well still dont see a point having a gaming laptop for 2 or 3000 bucks which will last maybe 5-7 years and dies and the repair will be very costly.
Anonymous, 08 Jan 2020just like some people think 16 colour monitor is the peak of human technologyWell and we had a monochrome monitors 20 years ago.
six_tymes, 08 Jan 2020no one here remembers 600Hz ? most plasmas were 600, and is one of the reasons why they were s... moreThat isn't a 600hz refresh rate, that meant 600hz PWM dimming. Plasma subpixels can only be one brightness, either on or off. to make different brightness, the subpixels would rapidly flash on and off, at a rate of 600hz, or 10 times per frame (at 60hz). So for example if you had a pixel displaying a gray at 50% of pure white, it would be on for only half the frame, alternating between on and off 600 times per second (again, 10 times per frame at 60hz). To make a brighter gray you would have it be on for longer than it was off, and vice versa for a darker gray. This caused low persistence, and thus less eye tracking motion blur, but its not displaying 600 unique images a second.
If you want a better explanation (i'm not the best at explaining things), and one that goes a bit more in depth, read this article: https://www.cnet.com/news/what-is-600hz/
no one here remembers 600Hz ? most plasmas were 600, and is one of the reasons why they were so good. i still use my 14 year old pioneer daily, zero burn in.

Anonymous, 08 Jan 2020just like some people think 16 colour monitor is the peak of human technologyNot like that, c'mon. I'm all for buttery smoothness but it's just now that 144hz is available to the masses. Only a couple of Valve games are capable of reaching >300fps on GTX 1080 TIs and above so this only benefit Dota 2 and CS:GO players who have said flagship GPUs and flagship CPUs.
What gaming development in general should be focusing is 4K 144hz, Real Time Raytracing without the FPS drop and further advancements on VA and IPS panels, and not making an outdated panel like TN to be more capable.

I'll always believe that we reached peak hertz with 144. 144 is the golden ratio of hertz. Anything above that is not needed.
dishonored, 08 Jan 2020lol bro there are already one who did the "software 360hz" these is a pure 360hz ips screen ... moreNot even that is enough in some cases, in most cases the CPU will not reach that frame rate you might want to stick to simpler games such as CS:GO if this is planned to buy. O_O
YUKI93, 08 Jan 2020There's only one question: Is it a properly legit 360Hz or just a software-interpolated 360Hz?... morelol bro
there are already one who did the "software 360hz"
these is a pure 360hz ips screen
but you need a crazy graphic card to run it like a sli 2070 super
There's only one question: Is it a properly legit 360Hz or just a software-interpolated 360Hz? If it's the latter, no thank you.
