abigfanoftechs, 08 Jan 2020It's O2 & users faults. O2 probably installed their cell towers in the wrong places. No its apple fault giving a 900 eur phone only 2 antenass its very ridiculous.

              That is incorrect.
Intel modems are inferior in speed, signal quality, efficiency, heat, reconnection speed after signal was lost etc.
You are literally commenting on a article that talks about XR's poor signal quality.

O2 need to push an update. Giffgaff uses o2 network but have their own carrier settings and the phones are fine.

abigfanoftechs, 08 Jan 2020It's O2 & users faults. O2 probably installed their cell towers in the wrong places. not sure how cell tower location would be at fault, 2 meters to the left an a tad higher would not make a difference if the handset cannot connect due to having less antennas thatn other handsets.
As all other handsets available can connect without issues, so its not the cell sites at fault.

You cannot expect much from a phone with only 2 antennas, other flagships have at least 4. GPS is also subpar (according to Notebookcheck), but the XS and 11 Pro have great GPS. While in real world usage connectivity appears to be like other phones, wait until you step in an area with poor reception and it'll show its weakness.

But anyway to me this is not a deal breaker as my 11 runs fine on most of my local networks until it gets hit with poor reception (and signal fluctuates too much). I still keep my X2 Pro for this reason.
