But at least for now the Xiaomi 108 mpix topped the doxmark scoreboard as a best camera phone ever made.

I can think of 3 cameras I could buy for this price that will let me shoot so much more and yes even the intended subject this camera was specifically made for.

There will always be these camera flagships that don't have the highest resolution (Nikon D5 or this Canon one). They focus on quality images, flexibility (like huge bursts on full resolution, a good button layout etc ), high quality ISO, real optics (Canon's brilliant array of lenses), huge RAM caches so it can shoot many images before running out of memory, fast card writes.
And not the last one, guaranteed shatter releases (300k+).
And comes with a serious warranty service. The target here are professional photographers.
Comparing this monster with Mi Note 10 just shows me that some guys here have no idea whatsoever about photography gear. Zero.

Be kind, fellas. What the guy said about 20.1mp on full frame for a 2020 flagship camera are true. For sure smartphone sensor with 108mp cant beat it lol (and he never mention about it).

But considering the price, there are 48mp & even 64mp full frame camera already out there (Sony, Leica, Lumix). Of course theres a lot of factors to be considered, but yeah, like the guy said, it could be even better if it comes more than 20.1mp on full frame.

Anonymous, 08 Jan 2020That's mind blowing ISO but 20.1 megapixels is not good enough especially for large prints.Lol, what a joke. 20.1 MP with super big Full Frame sensor will easily beat the 108MP Xiaomi with tiny 1/1.33" sensor and super crap camera software algorithm, both on prints and photo quality.

Anonymous, 08 Jan 2020That's mind blowing ISO but 20.1 megapixels is not good enough especially for large prints. It's specializing in capturing live action - performances, sports, news reporting, etc. Its goal should be durability, very high ISO, high burst rates, and photos that can be delivered quickly without significant post-processing. Canon's sensor sensitivity has been stagnated for years so we'll have to wait for production model testing to see how this does.

Cameras with more resolution and dynamic range are typically suited for weddings and landscapes where artistic post-processing is expected. And those cameras weigh a lot less so you can actually carry them.
