Nothing spectacular wort... moreActually, it does make sense to a lot of people though it might not make sense to everyone. From your standpoint, it might be not worth it, but actually, SSD is quite a lot more quicker than HDD. its more than 4 times as fast (if not more), and it is also technologically more advanced and durable. For those who use external drives frequently/regularly to access data, an SSD over an HDD might be worth it.
I can see that it doesn't make sense to you, but it does to others. So, yeah worth it to some, not so much to others

when you want to coopy large files , it makes a huge difference . time is money.

plus , 2.5 HDD break and and not reliable .. in 2 years you will have bad sectors and it will be 1/2 speed. SSD not only 20 times faster in read and write , they are smaller , lighter and they don break from falling down

Or if i am wrong correct me please but to me makes nio sense having 2TB SSD disk for 400 compared to 2,5 inch HDD for less than 100.

using T5, and very satisfied with the speed
the aluminium dent easily though (I've dropped it several times)
                            still works great

Likely going to be an M.2 drive internally. since those easily hit 1gbps read/write and can go even higher on the more premium models, Doubt it will be like a 970 Pro though.

If samsung uses an internal raid controler and makes this ssd with 4 internal modules in raid 0, that number can be achieved easily.

so much for ssd prices coming down, these models have held the same price for the past 3 generations now, 2tb is nowhere near as expensive to make as it was 3 or 4 yeats ago. tut tut

500GB for $129 with AES encryption and fingerprint scanner? Sounds like a total bargain to me. Heck, it IS a total bargain.
