But I suppose you have to re-authenticate each time the device is powered up (e.g., when the PC (re)boots or you plugged it to a different USB port).
They can't even put proper ones into their phones and tablets...
I hope you will not need to unlock it every time you boot up? meaning, I hope there is an option to turn the feature off if you are using daily at home for example.
It remains to be seen if just some key areas of the drive or also the whole user data are encrypted with AES 256-bit. Similar products in the past from other manufacturer turned out to have significantly lower security encription of the user data in order to increase R/W speed.
