Why's there a hole. Couldn't a half-unrolled display allow the rear cameras to act as front cameras?

Higher cost, compromised compressed audio over an interruptible wireless connection, batteries to keep charged, and a case to carry and also charge. Oh, and limited compatibility with most of the world's existing audio equipment.

back in the days when people see a concept its a concept. Something that gives an insight in to the future but cannot buy now. As much as I like technology it feels like we a moving into a world where we are buying concepts which works but could potentially have major flaws. Back in the day you get what you get, a full baked product but now it seems like we are forever beta testing these devices with every new thing that's coming out.
gimmick
So many ignorant, trolling comments as always.
Companies are experimenting with other designs, spending huge amount of money on r&d.
And there are peopole who are willing to pay the price and support pushing the tech forward.
There is nothing wrong with that.
at this point it is only a proof of concept, almost all concept devices do NOT make it to market ever, or for at least several years. good to know it CAN be done, but in reality, until the tech has matured, it most probably wont be built within the next 5 years
Anonymous, 10 Jan 2020why i need rollable? no nobrah this phone is not even for you lol. you're not the target audience for this so dont worry.

why i need rollable? no no
I want to see this tech in monitors. It'd be nice to be able to switch between 4:3 and 16:9 or 21:9 when needed.
I think this one is better than having 2 screens. Keep innovating Samsung!
tareq, 09 Jan 2020Because 3.5 mm jack is not vital. Live with it people. I don't see why is it difficult to plug... morecause it needs dongle and there are not much of a choice with the type-c plug headphones. and dongles break down. Well at least the cheaper versions like few bucks
