120hz display refresh rate it's of no use in a small screen..
10bit Color tone is already available in samsung ,lg phones..

on the other side, OEMs doesn't have "kahonas" to do something more, they dont want to risk, they put every year something small, some small change, its a low risk.

Am I the only one expecting more innovation than better and bigger screens + better cameras? Where are the new ideas? A camera that can be "blacked out"....wow. As for me, I hope my frequency of changing my phone every 6 months will now change to...I just hope it lasts forever. Such boring tech they bring us right now. Id gladly pay 1500$ on a 5" 1080p with quad cam setup that is foldable to 3" and has behind glass camera tech + piezo sound and >90% screen, likely 6000+mAh...this wont ever happen but lets have the 8th camera lense and 340hz screen...

iPhones are way overrated. It's only because most eurpoean/American/uk carriers simply stock a few Samsung and apple devices and the odd other company here and there.
Unfortunately most western people happen to be missing out on the best phones available usually front the east and especially China.
China already make phenomenal flagship killers which most are better than than the iPhone 11 pro max in so many different ways.
According to DXOmark. Notice how the Chinese brands are superior to the iPhone 11 pro maxes camera?
Generally speaking phones from asian countries are by far better than what apple use.
Because most carriers stock mainly apple and Samsung. Most consumers without a specialist interest in phones. Simply assume that whatever the carrier has in stock. Is all that is available in the world.
Quite frankly one needs to order a powerhouse of a phone online. Aliexpress. And search for the best Sim deal one can find from a competitive carrier.
This is the best way. That way you choose the phone you want. It's all yours. And you choose the carrier. And get to keep a reduced bill and stay on top of the bill easier.
Not all carriers supply oneplus.
So make sure you check the bands. Order online. And make sure you can get the best sim deal.
I am disappointed with how few handsets most carriers are providing. It's as if these carriers are manipulating the consumer. And taking advantage of the lack of consumer awareness and knowledge.
GSM Arena is probably the best online magazine that keeps us all upto date with tech above and beyond carriers. Helping us all make the right decisions. In choosing that perfect phone. And helping us all realise that there is an unprecedented array of phones to choose from even making the iPhone 11 pro max actually and truthfully appear average.
These 865 powered phones about to be launched in the next very few weeks are about launch the Android world so far forward... Even the carriers cannot keep up.
For those looking at a new oneplus 8 pro or other Chinese / Taiwan Asian powerhouse alternatives. Check with GSM Arena. And try and order online. Its time to start showing or carriers... That there are by far better phones than what carriers are limiting the consumer to...

While Asus innovated the 120hz OLED with the RoG Phone II, OnePlus stepped up even further with 1440p and more display tech. I hope RoG Phone 3 uses that same OLED technology as the OnePlus 8 Pro and this time, no redness on low brightness.

It's amazing how much technology has been advanced nowadays. OnePlus raises the bar and wants to be a strong competitor in the field of top tier companies in the mobile phone industry.
I had wished the same for Nokia, an already strong and established brand, but.... what the heck.
