Anonymous, 14 Jan 2020why 6,7"? It's still too huge...but ye, good concept. Imagine how small a 5,5" foldable could be!Yes, it would have small display, small everything including the battery. I would rather have this size of a device, than too small with not enough room for internals...

Superb rendering, hope real one doesn't have a pin hole, I want a pure display, make the camera pop up please, few of us use a selfie camera often anyway.
Please Samsung include a compact S-Pen for drawing and taking notes. Form factor is ideal for an electronic notepad.

The fold will make this phone *shorter but fatter in a pocket than any mainstream smartphone out there. With a plus sized Galaxy Note screen. D:

Yet another stupid device with huge unnecessarily big screen.
More content? Look at the top of your current device screen and ask yourself if you can see whats on the bottom?
...exactly so why in the hell would anyone need more content displayed when we cannot see all of it anyways?!?!?!
It's like buying a super sporst car and drive it in traffic in London.
                        Million hp, max speed 10mph!

That's how you avoid a crease while still making it possible to seal the device all around when closed. It's called engineering. Now, think on what happens if there is a wide gap on a folded display, when you carry it in a pocket or a handbag. Pens, keys, everything gets wedged inside the phone. Inside, where you're trying to protect a fragile plastic display....
The Razr design is DOA. Rushed from a random fan concept, the classic Chinese "innovation" methodology. No research, no afterthought.

The lack of attention to detail is with Samsung.
Motorola nailed, as all tech reviewers agreed.

The design flaw is with Samsung - folding the phone will definitely crease the display AND can dent/scratch it dust is left on top of it.
The rolling display at the bottom of the razr is negligible because it can only fit the plastic and not some other particle.
Not to mention the Razr avoids the creasing in the middle part.
It makes me wonder why no other BIG OEMs like Samsung or Huawei have thought of this. Their design engineers aren't as good as Motorola's.

Its gap, when closed, is a screen destroyer. The roll up feature will definitely scratch the plastic display at the bottom.
It looks nice, as a retro homage, but the lack of attention to details is the reason it didn't get beyond the announcement, I think.
The 1,600 buck price tag with midrange hardware is definitely a deal breaker.

The positives of he flip phones was the fact that they actually "flipped". They action was fast and responsive. I don't see these "unfolding" phones capable of doing that without damaging the display. These are still way to fragile. The "feel" of these will be totally different(in a bad way) from flip phones.
