sanshiro, 14 Jan 2020Premium phones for premium people. We entered an era, were mobile phones are just too expen... moreConsidering the longevity of the devices these days, they are less expensive than you might believe. Especially with payment plans and such.

But to put it into perspective:

$500.00USD for a OnePlus 5T in 2017 (includes taxes). This translates to approximately $20.00USD per month. That is pretty low, and the phone still performs very well.

I expect the OnePlus 8 series to last at least 2-3 years. This would translate to approximately $21.00USD per month if it's $750.00USD after taxes (three years).

You can compare prices to years long past, but this is neither relevant or wise since prices are always going to increase over the years (look at automobiles, for instance).

Now, only someone must come and tell too that those not premium people are also as burglar that they even don't deserve that technology...

Now we are not only have different levels and phone status but they will also differentiate us by castes and rights and what phone we could purchase or not...

          Premium phones for premium people.

We entered an era, were mobile phones are just too expensive for the average Joe.
They are just too good, very technologically advanced for the common guy to have it.

Dorsefrith, 14 Jan 2020Punch hole spoils everything. #NotThisYearOnePlusHole punch spoils the top of the screen, the curved glass spoils the sides.

You can't seem to avoid a compromised screen in 2020 (unless you opt for a compromised phone like the 8 Lite).

So it's looking like the OP8 is going to have curved screen like the plus? That sucks rocks.

Choice for a flat screen will either be a 7T or 8 Lite. BS man.

Wish they went with a more innovative design... This feels like a step back from the 7 pro. They went the generic route. Everyone using punch hole.

If the rumors are true, the Lite with the mid-range Mediatek will cost only 56 dollars less than the vanilla one with an SD865... Who is going to be as blind to buy that phone? The only thing that OP offers is speed and SoC. If you remove it, don't worth even consider them.
