Unless you have crazy good noise cancellation, you're still going to have traffic noises mixed up with your music. I just use a cheap pair of IEMs for commuting to work. Still sounds better than a pair of airpods.

Plus, I don't get the allure of premium earbuds. You're going to wear them in the street, it's gonna be noisy, you won't hear the finer details anyway.
