Have a look at places like QQ, and all the other Chinese alternatives to YouTube and Facebook. There’s quite a lot of them.

I find Huawei numbers very curious. Is there is any way to verify if even a fraction of these numbers are authentic?
It reminds me of the numbers for the Mate X. No serious reviewer seems to have an actual hand-on with the device, and nobody seems to have done an in-depth review for the same. While I do see Huawei handsets being used by many people, those numbers are nowhere near a smartphone maker that claims to be No.2 Globally. That title may go to Xiaomi or Apple. From my personal observations, Huawei may not even be in the top 5.
I am country figures for sales, across various countries could prove me wrong. Though, right now, I am skeptical of these numbers.

You are living in a dreamland. There won't be markets for Huawei outside China without google services.
Microsoft already tried what you are saying with WP and it didn't go well, it won't go well for Huawei either. You need official google services and appstore or playstore to get sales. It's that simple. Competition in phone market is way too big to wait. You have to have everything NOW!
Without google it's only going to be downhill for Huawei now

Huawei with Google was still pretty unrecognized and irrelevant in the us and without it things are just getting worse..it normal for people having brand loyalty to be Asians because that's where their sales will still be kicking..i really love Huawei and still us

I would buy the Mate 30 Pro ... if -50% RRP ... I don't care about Google services.
Huawei need to realise that they are screwed & should price their gadgets appropriately in the non-China markets.

This is a very special result..
Had there been no ban, Huawei would undoubtedly achieved overall better worldwide sales but otoh, the ban spurred an unprecedented sales boost in the largest market, China itself..it was really far off the charts.

By being more independent from GMS actually serves the consumer with an alternative and leaves more room for innovation. Huawei is creating a market for the slightly more advanced user that relies less on GMS. This will only make Hauwei stronger, more self sufficient. But also create more innovation and less relience on Google. This is actually really good news as western markets do not actually need Google. They make the people think they need Google. Truth is. You don't need Google.
