i don't care if they are independent now what i care about is what chipset are they gonna use i want the high end chipset 855+ or 865 will do...but if they use low end chip poco is indeed dead...
Seems like our expectations are over the roof.
Poco f1 was a head Turner. But in my opinion, xiaomi took the move for a business profit rather than thinking about users.
The price of the redmi series increased from the last generations and so will be in this case.
Let's hope, poco comes up with a decent offering so existing and new users stay happy.
Ali Al Mashaikhi, 17 Jan 2020Nova !!? Maybe you mean Honor. No Nova series of phone from Huawei is rumoted that it will become an independent brand
Independent brand .. i hope Poco creates its own os though. It'll be weird if it doesn't.
As a happy, proud and satisfied Poco F1 owner I wellcome this move.
Hope now updates and upgrades will be more often.
Also I hope new such good powerful devices will be relased in budget or affordable price range.
I am happy that Xiaomi did this like Huawei did with honor brand.
In here e.g. India people are more aware of Honor devices which are value for money then the Huawei brand.
Ali Al Mashaikhi, 17 Jan 2020Nova !!? Maybe you mean Honor.Honor and Nova are both with Huawei, their Nova series is more expensive than their Honor series, Nova has been in rumors to be independent, while Honor has laid low
NipponFan, 17 Jan 2020More Chinese junk flooding the market. Xiaomi should stop and release less devices. I pray for Mother Earth, but hey, more cheap phones for everyone!
Xiaomi is losing in India.Samsung will regain first spot in In India this year.
It could also be to do with politics in China - For a number of reasons most Very rich Chinese have learned not to put all their financial and ownership eggs in one basket. That way if you're "volunteered" to donate your company and it's assets to the Chinese State, another part continues to live on.

Realme in low and mid segment uses plastic body to make the price lower even lower than Redmi. Redmi uses back glass (plastic frame) on their mid segment. Plastic body is only on their very low segment such as Redmi 8 and 8A.
