So basically a cheap Chinese brand is supplying the chip so Google can cut costs but charge more than Airpods. Lack of Aptx is a big let down and the air vent is a concern for me as it seems that will kill the passive noise isolation so it would let in background noise like the last ones without rubber tips. That's a big deal breaker for me, I like the background completely shut out.

I was thinking about upgrading from my Galaxy Buds, but not having aptX support is a let down and will likely stick with my Buds for another year or two.

Why the hell would Google do yet another failed replica of another successful product of Apple? Where the hell is your innovation? The good Google has died. Under this CEO google is no more than a money making machine.
