I can understand the 460 as a direct replacement for the 450, but what is the point of 662 and 720G when you already have 675 and 730G respectively? I just cannot understand that.

Competition is good for consumer especially the price. G90T is only uses by Redmi Note 8 Pro. I don't hear other phone using that SoC. Not famous is not because is worse but Mediatek company is smaller than Qualcomm. But seriousely, I wan't to see the rising progress that Mediatek do for example Dimensity 800, 1000L, and 1000.

Monopoly is not good especially for us as consumer.

That's why they sell phone with cheap price to get consumer.. Top market leader like Samsung, Huawei, Oppo, Vivo won't sell their phone cheap.

Do u know why BBK create Realme and Iqoo brand while they already have so many brand like Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus? Why don't they sell Oppo and Vivo cheaper instead of flooding market with so many brand?

MediaTek chipsets with similar price may have better benchmark scores or burst performance, but Quallcom chipsets are able to maintain better performance for a longer time with less problems than MediaTek just look at the infamous Helio G90T in Redmi Note 8 Pro.

                        Mediateks 1000l and dimensity 800 and g70

Are much better options than these

I still stand that mediateks equivalent p series is better than 400series in Qualcomm

Qualcomm is feeling the heat too because they are getting forced to lower prices of the 765G

Glad competition is here so Qualcomm can stop ripping off consumers with their monopoly

But I hate it when they downgrade the performance at the same time. other chip-makers would take advantage of these half-baked upgrades and close their gap between themselves and Qualcomm.

Although the new features of these SoCs are a good update to differentiate its predecessors, Qualcomm has too many SoCs that some end up underutilised like the S632, S670, S675. The old midrange S660 is still relevant even when compared to the current gen and has a bit better GPU than S662, S665 and S460 which means there's not much incentive to upgrade to a new mid-range phone...if we're talking about performance.

Sd 720g and 662 are downgrade from previous models. Only sd 460 is upgrade, in cpu,gpu and camera support. New names doesn't mean better processors.
