This improvement is enough for this year. Every second year is large improvement because they are moving to less nm

And that's Geekbench 5, the score is a lot lower than the version 4...
So if you expected a big difference, you're wrong.
Mediatek may have caught up to Qualcomm but is still behind in performance.

Not Redmi series. Redmi series will always be attacked by Realme. So, pricing is very sensitive on this segment.

If Dimensity 1000 perform a little bit lower than SD865 but the price is quite cheaper, Redmi should considering choose Mediatek Dimensity 1000 to make the price cheap. As we have known that Redmi series is for cheaper Xiaomi segment. Mi series for exampe Mi 10 use SD865 because Mi series is more expensive especially when Redmi brand is separated. Poco is other area. It's using all plastic to make soooo cheap.

K30 with the 730G is a little underpowered to run that 120hz display.
K30 should have atleast given us SD 765G chipset.

According to engineers testing those Dimencity chips, MediaTek has, broadly speaking, reached the technical parity with Qualcomm, in terms of general performance (cpu, gpu), thermal efficiency, and heat management. MediaTek's 5G modem outperforms Qualcomm 5G solutions. Because of the 5G focus of those smartphone-makers for 2020, Dimencity chips become the choice of chip for 5G smartphones. They also prefer a 5G solution with an integrated 5G modem. Hopefully, Qualcomm will come back with a flagship chip with integrated 5G modem.

Manufacturers stay away from MTK for other reasons such as a poor record with open source. I have had some MediaTek phones before. Most of them received only one version update. Running a custom ROM to make up for this is practically impossible.
