Software is matter of taste, but iPhones are hyped for a reason. Also based on sales, iPhones clearly aren’t overpriced.

It's more of a fashion statement no... moreWhen you pay €1000 on a phone you expect the latest and greatest in technology, which is not what iphones are, they don't support 5G and have the audacity to call themselves the greatest since the birth of Buddha, it's exactly the american way of flexing even though others are years ahead of you, even Realme, Xiaomi and other low-cost brands are better in 2020. They are able to put out 5G phones with 120hz and an all-screen design for cheaper than this new iphone is supposed to cost.
There are many american hardware companies worthy of respect such as HP, Dell, and maybe even Microsoft as they at least know what the word "modesty" means, meanwhile Apple is stuck in the past

The amount of people defending this is ridiculous just because it has an Apple logo on it, meanwhile Xiaomi released the Mi A3, it's now €160 and people mock it because its 720p lmfao, despite being OLED and having a fingerprint behind, meanwhile the 5-times more expensive iphone 11 gets praised for its 828p display which doesn't support the features above, goes to show how much people are willing to defend this fraud conglomerate known as Apple
iPhones are as overpriced and overhyped as Blackberry was. It's more of a fashion statement not a technological one...like the Motorola Razr was in 2004 (fashion) while the Nokia 6230 which was released in the same year was light years ahead of it in terms of technology.

The iPhone 7 32/2 GB variant here costs 700-800 BGN (350-400 EUR). Only the leather cover for it costs 90 BGN (45 EUR)!!! iPhones and everything else from Apple like tablets, laptops, buds and accessories are RADICILOUSLY EXPENSIVE in my country. Most people here receive 700-800 BGN for a month so the cheapest version of a 4 year old model iPhone is a whole salary here!!! To be honest over 95% of those Bulgarians who have an iPhone is bought via credit or via mobile plan + credit...

Look you guys from Usa, can clearly name Iphone as budget phone in Usa where you can buy it forb40%less than in EU. Here u can buy for 49 plus tariff in 24 months subscription or 1250 eur. 4 years old iPhone here costs 350eur. Nothing out of Apple will come cheap.

If by high quality you mean 12-16 gigs of rams, I suggest you go do some research on Bionic vs SD SoCs. They aren't the same.

Also, 37% is a healthy and rather normal net profit margin for most industries and products.
Gross profit and net profit are two different things.
