Nice Guy, 22 Jan 2020Samsung has to lose its share to Xiaomi in a cheap market! Xiaomi offers more at the same priceSamsung offers qualitys that aren't necessarily on the spec sheet. It's things like audio quality, durability, software (optimization), no ads in the UI and customer support that can't be read in any table but is a day and night difference between Xiaomi & Samsung.

They are still my two favorite smartphone brands.

Samsung's new M lineup & redefined A lineup along with smooth ONE UI brought them this success.

Realme is nothing but OPPO VIVO craps under different name and new packaging(One+ are same phones with premium tag and software updates) . people have realized it and that's the reason their numbers are going down.

I remember a sales person from one of the franchise of realme claiming that Realme and Redmi are same company to one of the potential buyer.

It's not easy to copy someone's sucess.

Realme has shot itself in the foot by launching too many models competing against each other. In the sub 10k segment they have 5, 5i, and 5s and in the 15k segment they have XT, X2 and 5 Pro. Consumers are baffled and also putting off purchases in anticipation of better phones being launched in a couple of weeks by the same manufacturer.

Nice Guy, 22 Jan 2020Samsung has to lose its share to Xiaomi in a cheap market! Xiaomi offers more at the same priceThat's not surprising considering Xiaomi has been leading the Indian market for more than 2 years now. Only reason Samsung is holding up it's market share a bit is because of the M lineup.

What I do find surprising is that Realme has significantly lost it's market share by half in mere 2 months. I wonder what happened? Then again, we might have to wait a report for Dec '19 and Jan' 20 due to Realme X2 Pro launching quite late last year. Also, vivo seems to be doing really well.

That's is because Realme, Vivo, Oppo, Xiaomi make really really good phones. I mean they all do. But it's not difficult to see why quite a few of us would be more biased towards Xiaomi, Realme, Vivo, Oppo is it?

Notice how Western markets and carriers are missing out on better handsets?

My friend with his apple iPhone 11 pro (who is not impressed with apple). We where saying that most carriers don't have the better phones.

And that if carriers and western markets had more of these Chinese phones. He would have bought one of those instead of Apple. It's because not many people in the west realise just what better phones are actually out there and most are perfectly compatible with there band range with most other western countries.

Before any consumer thinks about buying a handset.

They need to check with GSM arena. Follow there reviews and news etc.

And check what phones there carriers or market place offers.

If you cannot find the right phone at your carrier. STOP.

Check online. Aliexpress. Or something like that. CHECK THE BANDS. Both handset and carrier.

And make sure you are diligent with the best handset specs money can buy.

This opens your horizons. Basically any phone.
And... Gaming Handsets too!!! 2020 :)
