Think Kilted Tim had a bit too much kilt juice if you know what i mean. Killing off the lightning port would increase innovation and prove that apple has stiffled the market by using something proprietary. Also what is this? The 90s where you had a charger for your phone, your laptop, your drill and those aa batteries? I could use 1 addapter to rule them all and a bunch of phisical connectors/modules. Also what about greener environment? Apple is faux friendly, not envitonment friendly.

Even $200 phones come with usb-C and apple are still living in their own world. How about we ban them from selling their products in the EU?

Without lighting port they lose a lot of money when they can't sell proprietary cables and stuff anymore. Apple is a company that I don't take seriously for a long while already.

Apple is always late to the party with the most outdated tech. I guess they are a vintage niche company. So I don't really get the "innovation" joke. Banning them in the EU will surely force them to innovate.

Actually, having such limitations will force the standard to be more flexible and upgradeable.

apple fearing its accessories business would take a hit as they sell lightining cables at higher price while the usb c cables are far better in quality, faster and still cost less.
everyone knows how crappy their lightening cables are and how slower they are.
