Even $200 phones come with usb-C and apple are still living in their own world. How about we ban them from selling their products in the EU?

Without lighting port they lose a lot of money when they can't sell proprietary cables and stuff anymore. Apple is a company that I don't take seriously for a long while already.

Apple is always late to the party with the most outdated tech. I guess they are a vintage niche company. So I don't really get the "innovation" joke. Banning them in the EU will surely force them to innovate.

Note7 owner, 24 Jan 2020I have to agree here, having only one standard will make people lazy and see no reason to sear... moreUSB-C has seen huge speed boosts in the past few years. With Thunderbolt, it can carry insane speeds. The laziness point is thus void.
Actually, having such limitations will force the standard to be more flexible and upgradeable.

Second... Funny that all this time so far they all have been changing and upgrading the USB standards regardless.

Stiffle innovation roflmao.
That must be a typo. They mean it will reduce their unjustified and unreasonable profits.

apple fearing its accessories business would take a hit as they sell lightining cables at higher price while the usb c cables are far better in quality, faster and still cost less.
everyone knows how crappy their lightening cables are and how slower they are.

What about other manufacturers use Apple’s connector ?
I prefer my connector to break than my USB-C pin in the phone.

I hope they lose the suit so we can get rid of those pesky 2 or 3-in-1 cables. It's not going to be immediate but it's a step.

Apple is greedy that's why they don't want a change, they want to keep the consumers locked in. Garbage company.

I have to agree here, having only one standard will make people lazy and see no reason to search for any improvement, little or big there’s no incentive. Imagine this world with McDonald’s only, no Burger King or Wendy’s.

They changed from a 30 pin to their current standard six years ago. Rich how Apple are complaining that it'll cost them money. The changes will affect customers the most like it did then.

Though unlike then, USB-C isn't a new standard. It's been around a few years now and the market has existing USB-C accessories. The transition shouldn't be as painful (unlike Lightning which was completely new)
