This ad is so cringey, but now I know that my RN7 has 60hz refresh screen

It's all about the price. Poco got fame because of the price. Good specs and low price. If they manage this to be a not an expensive phone they might succeed but if they price it almost the same price as the flagship phone I doubt people will buy it.

CRINGE! Holly molly I'm curious if Indiands actually like this kind of advertisement, because as European it makes me want to punch myself in the face

btw. I'm curious what would it say if you visited the website with Nubia Red Magic 5G, which has 144 Hz screen...

Don't think 120Hz is going to be a massive plus. The idea of the Poco has always been everything you need and nothing you don't. If it comes with gimmicks like 120Hz, AMOLED screens, pop-up cameras, glass backs, in-screen fingerprint scanner and such, it will lose its no-nonsense VFM factor. I am sure 120Hz may make a difference in some situations. But 95 percent of the time it's not going to be worth the extra cost. Hope they don't lose sight of what made the Poco F1 such value. Hopefully there are those three Poco variants with one gimmicky variant, one no-nonsense variant and at least one of them is in the 5.6-5.8 size to compete with the Pixel.

So I'll tell you few things...
*POCO is still using Xiaomi's resources, technologies and after-sales support.
*It is technically still Xiaomi, but without Xiaomi (Naming and interference).
*Xiaomi, POCO, Redmi or any Mi-related stuff are part of Xiaomi Corporation, not BBK Electronics (Oppo, Vivo, Realme, OnePlus).
*The Xiaomi-BBK Partnership was for a new cross-brand wireless file sharing platform based on Bluetooth-WiFi.

Hope this helps...

I don't really understand the point of all this hype if it's just going to be a rebranded K30 for the Indian market. I hope the Poco F2 will be worth waiting for. All I want from a smartphone in 2020 is something with a Snapdragon 865, IPS panel that has no obstructions (notches or punch-holes) and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Yep, probably a rebranded K30. Hope that the F2 will be another history. But know that they are allegedly centered in sell in India... We could end not seeing a global F2 released or available.

It seems to me, according to last picture in upper row, that this phone will have 3 cameras and a headphone jack. That would be nice...

If new poco concept is rebranding same redmi phones, then they are going to fail AF ! because they are missing the original idea that came with poco F1!

MagicMonkeyBoy, 27 Jan 2020Actually xioami and BBK have been cooperating. nope they haven't. BBK is biggest xiaomi copycat of them all! besides the cooperation you mention is for a file sharing system not for phone design and specs

Snapdragon, with 64mp cam, 120hz screen, this is going to be rebranded K30 Pro, yes?
Hopefully reskinned, so it won't have that sauron eye in the back.

Akashraj, 27 Jan 2020People here aren't considering the demographic and geographic audience that poco is targetting... moreIt's a Redmi K30 rebranded (with name, Pocophone X2, and for outside of China market). K30 is ugly and step back to Mi9T with big holes, Pocophone X2.. Well, you get a idea. But hey, it's not only one Pocophone for this year, so we hope there will be better designed phones with Pocophone branding..

Inb4 it has 3 notches and 4 punchholes, or it's just a repurposed k30.
