Pabliell, 27 Jan 2020HMD simply can't make a good camera software. I have a Nokia 8. If you forget about the camer... moreAgreed. It's not the hardware, it's the software. I installed a Google Pixel camera (GCam) on my Nokia 7 plus, and image quality from GCam is a lot better. It's like Sony's problem with their phones as well, they have the best camera sensor and the producers of camera sensors for many smartphone makers, but their image quality doesn't show it.

Hmd is Hmd. Nokia is Nokia.
Hmd is Not Nokia, hmd is just a chinese company using "Nokia sticker" to promote its crappy phones.

Kissio, 27 Jan 2020Any Leica lens from Huawei is infinitely better than this Pureview.No it is not. If you are willing to work on RAW files, the Nokia 9 is a great camera phone

Another budget cutting for Nokia. Their telecommunications research facility in PH will close this 2020 and now this. HMD Nokia is struggling.

If you forget about the camera, then you can be somewhat satisfied with a Nokia phone.

9 PureView camera setup was pretty interesting IMO instead of ditching it Nokia should work on software and make it better or they can use a slightly different approach and instead of 2 RGB and 5 B&W they can use a wide+ultra wide +3xtelephoto+ToF and monochrome version of the three cameras say a 108MP camera quad bayer camera and another 108MP monochrome camera and both will take photos simultaneously or they can even do multi frame capture for wider dynamic range

Nothing ventured- nothing gained. So kudos for adventuring as a result I'm glad to see a redirect. Looking forward o the new installment. Be great to distance a device away from glossy back. They are a mess generally

Looks like Nokia fans moving away from brand name. Yes it doesn't have any good phones in their catalogue. Only Chinese copied phones with Zeiss lens. Nothing different. Looks like Nokia 9 will not get true successor.

Funny how people still so anti Nokia. They have been ever since Noah was a boy. I'm running a Nokia 8, cost me about £180 and I love it. Dual SIM, 128gb memory and high quality finish. Never misses a beat. As for being Chinese. Name me a phone that isn't. Even the last 'proper' Nokia's were Chinese. I remember how they were slated for not being Android. Now they are slated for not being Symbian or Meego. Crazy.
The 9.2 PV stands a chance assuming they work on the weak spots of the 9, put in the latest processor and price sensibly.

mooox, 27 Jan 2020Let's not kid ourselves. Nokia never had a flagship level phone for a long while. They had mid... moreRight, cause all phones having snapdragon 835 /845 with 64/128 GB UFS storage and 4 or 6 GB RAM (and that if we talk only about a small part of the hardware) are extremly expensive midragers counting their prices. Gotta recognise, you really know your stuff in a world where bugs bunny and his friends are actually alive.

HMD Nokia != Nokia.

It can jolly well stay dead and continue with its rumors on a flagship device.

Most disappointing brand, seeing that it could have been one of the giants. Symbian os was ok, but adopting Windows brought it into a zone of no return.
