Other rumors come with the possibility that they want to make it cheaper. But if those are true, then removing the 3.5mm jack and other features is how they'll do that. So at the end, don't worth buy it if they are removing things that could today make it atractive against competitors with featureless phones. As if you only get a basic phone with cameras, their software image processing is not on par with competitors.
Also release it in summer will not help too. It'd end being another cheap chinese phone as other models they have and a downgrade. Well, maybe not in price. As is very typical from HMD-Nokia ask premium prices for cheap phones. They need to pay the fees of their RENTED brand... and pretend to make the world believe that they are what they are not! Anyways, something will be released at some point. The Lenovorola with Stylus sounds even much more promising that what could come from HMD now.
I'l buy it if they go back to 16.9, i am tired of those 18.9 tv remotes.
Anonymous, 27 Jan 2020king nokia still not dead unlike HTC LOLYour "king Nokia" has died a few years ago.
HMD basically blew it, despite having boatloads of customer curiosity and goodwill by having Nokia's branding on its phones. Something like Light technology? They'd probably need Apple budget of R&D to make it usable/optimized for normal consumers.
The cameras on the Nokia 9 actually produces the best raw photos of any phone when it comes to details and dynamic range, the only things that matter in RAW.
Why do some people still say "nokia should do it, nokia should do that ! " ?
Nokia just rents their name. Nobody would by a phone with HMD Global name on it.
Part of the lineup is HMD project, part is ODM.
The 7+ was done by FIH for example.
8.1 is ODM too.
They have a foldable phone ready. They are considering if it is worth releasing.
I just sold my Nokia 9 and I don't want to see a Nokia phone ever again. It's just a chinese manufacturer masking behind Nokia logo.
A lot of complains on Nokia forums and the company refuses any comunication with users.
This is safe business wise .. man they actually conformed
I wish they stayed unconventional and developed lights approach even more
That's what it takes to be unconventional , lots of risk taking sweat trial and error I guess Nokia just isnt up for that
Will Nokia 8.2 be ever realised or is just a rumor?
Let's not kid ourselves. Nokia never had a flagship level phone for a long while. They had middle tier phones masquerading as flagships, selling at flagship prices. Been the case for the past 5 to 10 years.

So don't expect it. And it'll be arrive really late as everythings points to H1 2020, nothing that it'll arrive soon. It's not expected at MWC.
3.5mm jack, good amoled and battery, 64MP imx686 OIS, stereo speakers, SD865, ip68 and I will buy it.
Anonymous, 27 Jan 2020king nokia still not dead unlike HTC LOLthis nokia is chinese tho. That is like saying HTC is alive because pixels sell
I do wish that Nokia would put again a native telephoto camera like they did before with the 8 Sirocco and the 7 plus. I definitely find it super useful for everyday shot.

Now let's see if Sony can succeed with that because Sony's making a flagship in collaboration with Light. Sure it's good for patient ones like you but not for the quick photographers like nearly everyone else.
