2K = 1080p - The reason it's called 2K is due to having approximately 2K pixels in the width. For the same reason, 2.5K = 1440p (2.5K pixels in the width), and so on...

    See this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2K_resolution

P.S. There's nothing wrong in admitting your mistake...

Whackcar, 29 Jan 2020Actually. That is incorrect. 2K refers to 1080p (1920x1080). 2.5K refers to 1440p (2560x1440).... moreThe mistake is yours.

In the field of display (common usage by display vendors):
      1) 1080p display commonly means 1920x1080, or FHD display, but never called a 2K display by a monitor vendor.
      2) 2K refers to a display whose width (horizontal pixel count) is in the 2k-pixel range, at least 2K or larger. Most commonly seen 2k display is 2050x1440, which is also called QHD. For some monitor vendors (such as BenQ), 2560x1440 is explicitly classified as a 2K monitor.

In the field of film restoration:
      1) 4K restoration refers to a restoration based on a scan with a vertical resolution at 2160p or slightly larger.
      2) 1080p restoration (full HD restoration) refers to a restoration based on a scan with a vertical resolution close to 1080p.
      3) 2K restoration refers a restoration based on a scan with a vertical resolution between 1080p and 2160p. (Most commonly a scan close to 1440 lines.)

p, 29 Jan 2020It will drain battery like crazy. Didnt you read up that this phone will have a co processor chip to handle high refresh rate high resolutions screens and control power draining issues of the snapdragon 865??

Faiakes, 29 Jan 2020So are finally going to see the first 16:9 phone in the market for some time? I wish. Highly doubt a Chinese phone (where China breathes on Weibo and WeChat) is going to use that ratio. Why else have I been hoping for Razer to release at least one more phone?
