You cant control the part of screen that has more or less ppi.
Also image quality would be compromized.
Xiaomi that is still stuck on sub 460ppi says it is too high, imagine the ppi they need.
Probably not even going down to HD would be enough yet .

I miss the times when it was a sim... morei have been saying the same for months now, phone companies should release a version of their phones with no front camera, selfies have been a cancer for the last couple of years and needs to stop, the second thing is, removing ig from existence.

So it means we can have regular punch hole setup with low ppi secondary screen on top....
If we can ignore the punch hole surly we can ignore low resolution in area of punch hole

Why don't we just make area of the screen over the camera lower PPI? We can be screens of any shapes and sizes, so we could make another tiny screen over the camera with low PPI. I would much rather have that area be blurry than have a notch over there

Or no front facing camera but put tiny touch screen below back camera which can be used as selfie display

Anonymous, 29 Jan 2020Use the zenfone 6z for this. I wish... I end up getting the RoG Phone II Tencent version because Zenfone 6 won't be coming to the Philippines in a brick and mortar store after all and for it to be online order is difficult too. I rather buy anything personally than online.

It's a security nightmare having under display camera. You can be peeped at while you not knowing it. Best security is find x design. Front and rear cameras are literally covered. Next best is no front camera at all (nubia Z20/x and vivo nex dual display and asus 6z and samsung A80)

I also needed that for my Facebook Video calls with my best friend if my PC is inaccessible. How can I do that from the rear camera that there's no display to show it? What is up with the selfie camera and you, turbo nerds? Sure I am like you guys but I don't mind about any gripes with the selfie cam.
