And this is the reason why iPhone sells and android flagships doesn't. People just don't see the value in android flagships. Who would pay $1000 for android phone where you get if you are lucky, two years support. Sametime iPhone gets 5 years.

But it doesn't, sales are actually going up.
"The iPhone 11 specifically accounted for an estimated 10% of all smartphones shipments during the period in Europe and the US, which is more than double the share of the iPhone XR during the same period last year. "
If the growing continues steadily in three years Apple is number one LOL
android update will be more than 2 years if android manufacturers stop to scuttle android features to make it as stupid as ios.
i don't understand why xiaomi idiotly removes notification action.
Every 2d post is about Apple... get a life.

The same way they hide quantity of phones sold and just posted the revenue. A simple calculation from ASP to revenue has shown that the sale quantity dropped around 34 million units (from 99 million units last year to estimated JUST 65 million units this year). If the drop continues steadily then in 3 years the iPhone will vanish from this world. LOL

2. Upgrade is always better. Security strengthen. Android fanboys will give anything including wiping their phones for a new ROM or upgrade. You can see some of them always do a software update check daily.. hoping for something new.
3. iOS can easily restore and recover. Even with iCloud 5GB free storage, all you have to do is offload those local media files, even with more then 200+ apps, you can recover no problem. Else you can always create an image and restore using iTunes (Windows) / Finder app. (MacOS)
4. iOS is the most up to date OS ever. Thus any issues and bugs are quickly discovered and broad to light in discussion. A great third party community that helps each other. Android bugs are more hard to discover, and sometimes puzzles the person with technical knowledge because he does not own the same device as the person suffering the bug.
Apple IOS is memory and task efficient but their phone and ipad price are not that reasonable as per storage capacity.

I like how news like these always have a positive title for Apple, anyway you put it. Once, the title would have been 'on over 90% of devices'. Now that the adoption rate of their newest OS is lower than before, it is 'three out of four modern devices'. Nice :))
"According to Apple, 70% of all iPhones ever launched are running iOS 13, while a bit over half of the iPads are on iPadOS. This is a massive improvement"
Not a massive improvement at all. Apple FORCES users to use iOS 13 as they can't downgrade. I know that for many people auto screen rotation doesn't work since the iOS 13 update, even when the system is resetted, see https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250710538
The bug was never fixed and you even can't report the bug to Apple. Apple's support doesn't help either. You can't downgrade to a previous version, users are forced to live with the bugs.
I can honestly say Tim Cook has done more for Apple than even Mr. Jobs. My statement isn't meant to disparage Steve Jobs in any way for all his work, he's forever a legend in the tech world. But Mr. Cook has proven to be an amazing leader.
1 in 4 iPhone owner doesn't trust Apple's software updates. "I'd rather risk being hacked than install malware".
Apple just need to get its head out from the propietary hardware thing, and I bet more people would be willing to pay for their stuff.
