I have 16 gigs in my desktop, and I rarely pass 50% usage. I do some pretty resource intensive stuff too. For a phone it's just kinda useless.

Anonymous, 30 Jan 2020My pc has only 2 gigs of ram but still faster than one of latest iPhone :pYour'e lying because even 4GB ram isn't enough for PC unless you're using Windows XP. iPhone is faster for sure because of its small screen compared with your PC monitor.

And guarantee wont cover dust damage,
My friends phone got a dust damage and technician told him that it was his fault so he had to pay expensive repair.
Even there was no visible damage from outside his earpiece wasnt working and his screen got sometimes accidentaly blank on his S7 edge.

Ddr4 can go 16GB. More than 20 I mean.
Playstation 5 is tipped to use ddr5 and have 32GB ram.

Just like what you said. Nowadays, people cannot fathom having 1GB ram in phones. I can understand if you're not a fan of a brand, but don't criticize progress. 5 years from now you'll be the one using 16GB of ram on your phone

So it doesn't make such an issue with the RAM management but for the fluidity of the device all in all considering that it is future proof.

I do not understand the need for adding so much ram when nothing in the app stores (apple or android) can actually take advantage of the ram other than having many apps open.
Unless the phone has a desktop mode ala Dex, I really don't see the point past 8gb ram.
