Go fast for Xiaomi, 30 Jan 2020Just buy Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Pro, 100% that you get better cameras than any future Sony flagship... moreAnd worse everything else.
$600 for visionox screen and samsung main camera.
Too overpriced.
Who on earth did that diagram.. I dont think a periscope lens looks like that.
Shanti Dope, 30 Jan 2020It must be about 1.0um pixels in size, somehow better than other 64MP sensors. But that 12MP 1... moreAnd the same things will repeat again.
"Average camera quality, 99.99% of people won't buy it, and bad profit again this year".
Same story again over and over again every year.

Shanti Dope, 30 Jan 2020It must be about 1.0um pixels in size, somehow better than other 64MP sensors. But that 12MP 1... moreThat'd be 1/1.4", so no. You can only fit 0.8um pixels in 1/1.7" diagonal
Shanti Dope, 30 Jan 2020It must be about 1.0um pixels in size, somehow better than other 64MP sensors. But that 12MP 1... moreIf this leak is correct, the main sensor of this phone will be more or less the same as the one on the regular Galaxy S20/S20 Plus - 1/1.7" 12MP sensor with 1.8µm pixel pitch, which is comparable to IMX600 used on Mate 20 Pro from 2018 light sensitivity wise.
This setup is clearly not of the leaked render. The cutout labeled as periscope is the infrared light source of the tof module. There's no space for a fifth cam in here and definitely not a periscope one since those tend to be larger both in y and z axis
Anonymous, 30 Jan 2020What is the purpose of the 64mp (1/1.7" sensor)?? A telephoto lens, maybe? Though you should take this leak with a grain of salt since it's coming from androidnext.info, a sister website of sumahoinfo.com who posted an inaccurate prediction for the camera setup of Xperia 1 based on information on Weibo back then.
Just buy Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Pro, 100% that you get better cameras than any future Sony flagship phone!!!
A periscope module can't be this small so I suspect that it is instead some sort of depth sensor that works in tandem with a ToF unit right beside it for more accurate distance measuring. The rest of the its hardware sounds promising, and if Sony doesn't screw up the software processing like they have been, we finally might be able to see some serious contender from the flagship Xperia lineup in camera department this year.

Anonymous, 30 Jan 2020What is the purpose of the 64mp (1/1.7" sensor)?? Probably is imx686, quadbayer with 2x2 on chip lens tech
- 6.6" 21:9 4K HDR10 amoled BT2020, displays 10bit content
- dual front stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos
- IP65/68 and military certification like Lg (1 and 5 have too)
- SD865
- ddr5 ram + ufs3.0
- wifi 6 and 5G + usb 3.1
- gorilla 6
Battery seems to be 4120, 4200 or 4500mAh. Charging speed unknown.
Cinema Pro will have even more focus than last year.
Sony is going to have a hard time if its naming scheme for smartphones is difficult to understand at first glance.
Like Xperia 30 (low-end), 60 (mid-range) and 90 (flagship).

Shui8, 30 Jan 2020Finally, a flagship worthy camera hardware from Sony Xperia. Thats an impressive setup. Xpe... morethey always had a flagship setup, there software is worth pitty, you can go and check gsmarena review.and check the photos itself
Looks promising. Design is great and features too. May be my next phone as the S20 looks to disappoint.
Since Xperia 1.1 was used to be called Xperia 5 Plus, I hope 1.1 has a headphone jack. If it has, then Sony will finally come back great. Sony's stock like latest Android, cameras further engineered by Alpha team, headphone jack, IP68, stereo speakers, now that's a killer combo.
