No changer in box no buy the only way apple will learn is from criticism and pointing out what apple is doing is taking away freedom of choice and just misbehaving as always people need a easy too use phone right out of the box not a wild goose chase for part's and adapter's
Also a phone without the original changer most people do not understand voltage regulators and will use either the wrong changer but it not work because apple
Or same Chinese knockoff changers will get used that don't follow eu standards and knowing there kinds of sellers they will find a workarounds too make the changers look real and sell them as if they are real
Most people won't know the difference between real & fake changer and it will come down too money for budget iphone buyer's and the changers will bypass the security system so this is a safely issues and oversight that isn't considered

Waste beacuse of chargers...well, when i sell or give my old phone,it goes with the charger. People around me do the same.
So, i don't know how waste from chargers is generated.

can't blame them too much too though, as if they do that, the r&d costs would be theirs while their brilliantly designed port would be available for free by companies that never did such research and don't deserve it.

musiclover 901, 01 Feb 2020While it works out for the consumers this time round because usb type C is better than lightni... moreno way! apple's port is far better designed than the usb-c port by the corrupt & thieving usb consortium who also regularly rename usb speeds to confuse the public!! the usb-c port has an unwieldy pin in between which is destined to bend or break. the apple port is far better designed as it is a brick with no hollow and the pins are all arranged neatly on the sides.
EU definitely has some monetary interest in usb consortium group.

lo & behold, touch screen response issues.
the tab itself got touch screen issues when i used a good quality charger.

i generally dislike apple but just look at that image there. all those charging ports have a gap in-between. in the receiving port there is a thin pin in-between. this pin is destined to bend or break. even the new usb-c port has it.
only apple's is solid and there is no pin hanging in-between in the receiving port. everything is neatly positioned around the sides. this is FAR MORE RELIABLE than usb-c which was only a knee-jerk reaction by absolutely corrupt usb consortium to design a reversible cable after apple did it.
if EU wants to adopt a common standad, it should be based on the apple port, not on the badly designed usb-c port.

It would be great to tackle the waste by having a universal adapter and cable, however, brands such as Huawei have a higher wattage plug to charge their phones faster via SuperCharge. I hope this will be the new standard.

What you described already exists. The heads of government of all the member states make up the EU Council.
EU Council, EU Parliament, EU Commission. They're the 3 parts of the EU 'government'. Also, dispensing with the EU Parliament would be profoundly undemocratic and mean that the people had no direct representation.

Go do some basic research about the most used protocols in fast charging tech i.e USB PD, Adaptive Fast Charging, Turbocharge, Qualcomm Quick Charge, Warp Charge & VooC Flash Charge. You'd be surprised to find a common thread among the all
