I saved $1499.00 on the razor.
By not buying it.
Still love my moto z2 force though.
If you don't really care how your phone performs and don't need to take great pictures and really want to wow people with a parlor trick, Motorola has made the perfect phone for you. For everyone else? Move on.
For me is quite expensive to spend for RAZR 2019 right , i will buy when they cut price , or waiting for sure iphone 9

It's a limited edition device, meant for those especially interested in this type of device that there currently is only one of. A 6.2" smartphone that folds in half and therefore is less of a slab in ones pocket. I know several people who are interested in this device, and price is not an issue.
Some people really prefer having their phone in front pocket, and their pockets are literally not deep enough for large 6"+ devices. With a foldable device there is space.
If you really think that all, or even the majority, of iphone Max users buy the phone based on specs, your are simply wrong. Same with Samsung's Note10+, some just want a big screen and possibly even a pen to scribble on it with, with no sense of the CPU, GPU or even camera capabilities of the device.
Some just buy the most expensive assuuming it autmatically makes it the best. Because they want the best, even if they only use it for e-mail and social media.
Very few spend time actually researching and finding the optimum device for themselves.

The first impression from real world users are out. It's bad.
The camera, the battery life and creaky hinge.

Look at Apple. Their best seller is the cheaper XR and iPhone 11, not the S1000 XS/11 Pro. Moto wanting to charge $1500 for this is just laughable.

Ridiculous over priced and under specced. Motorola serious. Im guessing the rich will buy. And because its iconic design. Not for its specs.

This Motorola, however, uses a chipset that is used for $200 smartphones, and it is non-functional when folded, yet it still charges you premium price. Cue in all the tech bloggers and youtubers going gaga over this because they will simply get free review units.
The reason why flip phones worked in the past is because it prevented accidental button presses, and used for pickup/hang up of calls. Most people don't even make calls any more. Now we are so depending on non-calling services, flipping open a phone is just an added inconvenience. When you pull out your phone, 95% of the time you want to look and use the full screen and perhaps type a reply. $1400. Yeah right. Just like the Samsung Fold's $2000. How's that doing btw?
I will never understand why they're charging $1500 for a phone with specs worse than a sub $200 phone.
On the 25th? Is this for real? I ordered it on the 26th. I'm not happy about this!!!!!
Anonymous, 02 Feb 2020$700 + mid range cpu = overpriced End of story.1500$ for iphone with 828 pixel display overpriced
I see that only in Verizon, they're pulling a 2006 where they drastically reduce the price of the Razr V3 for everyone to buy. To the people who say who ever does pay $600 for an Android device, would you say the same back then because Razr V3 cost $600 and the likes of Sony-Ericsson, Nokia and Samsung cost like >$400? This design differentiate the bricks/blocks of the 2000s phone design and the slates/slabs of 2010s phone designs.
Kek, 01 Feb 2020You must be on drugs if you think a 50% discount on a device like this is something overpriced... more$700 + mid range cpu = overpriced
End of story.
Thank you Motorola for bringing yet another great price of engineering and design !
