When you take photo and you didn't do well with the cropping the photo, you can bring back elements which you didn't even saw when you took the photo, it combines different cameras when you took the shot, actually it does that before you press the shutter.
That feature have saved many of my photos. Sometimes i tend to take photos from too high so those photos are normally ruined, but thanks to new iPhone i can bring back the bottom of the shot and get balanced photo. It's really great function and i'm not surprised if these new galaxies will have that too.

Nokia 9 pureview which had multiple lenses all the same spec , that would be the only way to combine multiple lenses capture in to a single image.
But the crop and position you want on telephoto might differ to how you want to frame the wide angle, sounds a cool gimmick but pretty pointless
Anonymous, 03 Feb 2020Most useless feature out there. This is just for bragging rights nothing else. I actually ... moreHuh? This sounds like an incredibly useful feature to me. It lets you choose from 3 different focal lengths after you have taken a picture, it's anything but bad.
I'm waiting for the day when AI can combine the output from all cameras to obtain one image with super-details / low-light performance.
It's not a gimmick, it's a standard. Apple made it into a standard so all Androids should have it by then. Back then, Android had it and it's just a gimmick that was left to dust. Apple reintroduced it and successfully forced their users to do it.

Strange, but a few days ago, I saw an iPhone app doing the same thing, taking four 1080p vids together...
Does it mean the company worked on it in the 4-5 days time? Or was it planned all along?
People would never understand the benefit of having the ability to shoot with all cameras at once until they miss the moment where they should've used a different focal length sensor instead.
Most useless feature out there.
This is just for bragging rights nothing else.
I actually want to see infrared camera sensor.
I don't see any use of this new feature, seems more like a gimmick. But hey..! I'm not complaining. It's a flagship so no problem experimenting with new features.
