Apple gives you latest features 5 years late while slowing down your phone and restricting features and battery in the process (technically forcing you to upgrade).

What good is that kinda software support?

Whether it's miui, zen UI, emui or even color OS.

OnePlus had bragging rights for Oxygen OS back in 2017, not so much today especially when they have started charging more compared to other Chinese flagships.

The only reason they s20 Ultra has only 5G model is so they can charge more. A non 5G would be at least 100 € cheaper.
I don't mind to spend extra 100 € on a usefull feature. But i refuse to spend and support 5G.

They could easily offer non 5G model. 5G will need years to steup properly in most of the world. Beside a 5G signal is useless with a simple tree between phone and 5G tower.

That statement could have been considered valid 4 years back, not so much in 2020.
Chinese skins offer more functionality compared to oxygen OS and have significantly closed the gap as far as user experience is concerned.

That S20+ pricing is wrong to me... too big a jump over the S20 and too close to the Ultra. I've been on the Samsung Upgrade Programme for the last 4 years since it started, but I'm seriously tempted to jump to a Xiaomi Mi 10 (Pro?) if they get the pricing and UK availability right.

Anonymous, 04 Feb 2020I'd like to hope so, is it confirmed? Could do it on my Windows Phone. Some decent batteries i... morei would imagine all handsets will have this ability for the time being, as there will be areas that the handsets cannot get 5G. so other options would need to be made available.
it will be the same as older handsets having 2G/3G and 4G connectivity as standard. you can set to 1 signal only, or set the handset to use the strongest signal available to it at the time.

Forget about 5G for now. If Apple iPhones don't have 5G, it means that it is not mainstream yet.

Apple is the trendsetter, whether you like it or not.

Also, the EU will eventually cease to exist as other countries leave one by one.

Just a reminder that S20 (non-Plus) won't feature microSD slot, so if 128GB doesn't sound enough you'll have to shell out visibly more.
