I have been a Samsung lover since the S2 but have lost faith in them ever since they sent out a small firmware update to cripple to my S5. I guess I had it too long and they wanted me to purchase a later model.

I'm not the first person this has happened to. An official reviewer said that Samsung did it to his unit and I took what he said lightly until it happened to me. The media functions of my S5 works but making a call and receiving a call is useless and all of this happened right after the update.

Reminds me of when Apple use to purposely send out updates to cripple their phones forcing their customers to upgrade. When Apple did it both Samsung and Huawei stated they don't participate in such practices. Well so far Huawei seems to be the honest one...so far. I have always been a fan of Samsung but that deception from them have turned me off.

Wow. Those are some stupid high prices. I might be reluctant to spend 700 on a new phone but anything above that is a no go.
