tested 108mp on Mi note 10...
should be the same module....
1x from cam, and zoom from gallery...
Yeah I tried to take similar picture on my phone, I don't have ultrawide in my phone but i have action camera and proper camera with ultrawide lens , picture looks closer to 1x than ultra
Damn specs for the phone are all over the place, I hope it has 108 + 20mp ultra with AF + 5x of some sort, then its probably will be my next phone. Was aiming at mi note 10 but don't really want to downgrade from 845cpu... release day can't come any faster eh :)
Anonymous, 06 Feb 2020I hate it when they compare it with ultra-wide and zoom, instead of 1x and zoomIt is not distorted at all at edges, so it is comparing zoom with 1x camera

Facts, 05 Feb 2020 Xiaomi as far as i know, they still put / use high quality materials in their products especi... moreMinimal profit because of less advertising.. Mostly only published on social media.
The Last Oracle, 05 Feb 2020The zoomed in photo quality is not impressive. it's a 1440*1080 photo. So not the native one at all, and likely cropped. Look at the 5x zoom shots of the Mi Note 10 to get an insight as to the zoom capabilities Xiaomi might bring to this Mi 10.
The Last Oracle, 05 Feb 2020The zoomed in photo quality is not impressive. it's maybe some Chinese crappy website with crappy resolution? and not original site? okay, thanks, u got it. np
The Last Oracle, 05 Feb 2020The zoomed in photo quality is not impressive. considering the weather AND were the pics taken through a window which maybe have some tinting or sunlight film and like all windows, some imperfections? if so then the quality is very good for a mobile camera
You will never get a DSLR camera quality from a smartphone. So don't expect a big WOW to any new smartphone camera whatever they make. If you into Professional photography, for pete's sake, get a decent DSLR camera. But if your just a techie guy who want new phone features every year, then go for it.
LOL, 05 Feb 2020You get what you pay for. Xiaomi phones are cheaper for a reason.
How good smartphone photo... more Xiaomi as far as i know, they still put / use high quality materials in their products especially if the products are targeting the high end market. They even use glass lens cover in their low end phones(redmi 7A/8a) .. unlike nokia/hmd.
One of the reasons why their products are affordable because they only take minimal profit margin + they included ads in some of their softwares. Huawei used the same strategy in their early day as their flagships were dirt cheap.
Those two pictures are there to show the zoom range only. They are highly compressed, not even close to the quality of the original. The quality of cameras of Xiaomi's flagships (or near flagships) since late 2018 has been consistently among the best.

How good smartphone photos look usually depends on the quality of the software postprocessing, AI processing etc. Pixel 3 had a very basic camera, but the photos taken by it were quite amazing.
Most camera sensors on phones are a Sony IMX sensor, so hardware specs alone cannot be used to determine photo quality.
i thought the reveal is on the february 11th? like samsungs event.
