Well, the director... moreSo you think for his next blockbuster movie, he will use an iphone? Lol big no. Cinematography on a phone are mostly just for personal, ad or experimental. Theres no way you can cheat physics compare to actual camera. Yes at the moment Iphone 11 the best u can get videography on a phone today, but as for professional use?
There are many things to be considered, RAW HLG color grading, dynamic range control on certain scene (iphone are limited & fixed) LUTS, live external mic (iphone dubbing sound later on), BT 4.2.2, 100mb bit quality, overheating long period of recording, natural depth of field & aperture manual control as desired and so on. Right of the bat, your video link on the Apple ad are impressive (so on the other branded phone), but i can still tell its taken by a phone.

Most HONEST camera experts has ruled th... morestunt to look professional... Dude are you for real? Did you know how much time i spent on photography class, then building the knowledge and experience and then acquiring all the gear through the years and upgrading time to time, obviously is not cheap at all.
It's NOT a stunt, you need professional tools to do the job. You need a complete integration with other accessories to make sure everything goes smooth... like i said i can't use an smartphone with radio triggers so i cant use it with the speedlights or the studio lighting, no direct tethering with the laptop to speedy process in Lightroom, etc... please try to illustrate yourself about the business...

Most HONEST camera experts has ruled th... moreMind listing those HONEST camera reviewers? I'm pretty sure even apple uses professional photography devices for their iPhone ad shoots.... Plus that video is most likely made using 1000's of dollars in lenses and other professional equipment. If you are having that stuff, might as well get a camera which is a real deal. In case you want to have a link of apple admitting to using professional equipment here's it

I checked that video, go to 1:22and 1:23 and see it for yourself before making a fool of yourself on public forum
The amount of ignorance in the comment section is so funny. Comparing niche products to other totally different type of products. You either get what it is or not.

Most HONEST camera experts has ruled that out to be just a stunt to look professional to justify the extreme photography cost that the sharks charge for their work.
Professional (thouands to tens-of-thousands of dollars) camera vs iPhone 11 Pro Max, sure the PC will have some advantages by design/lens but so will the iPhone have its advantages too over PC.

Well, the director... moreYou can use an smartphone for casual shots, experimental content or a cheap vlogging device that's for sure, but i don't think i can go to a wedding job just with my smartphone... it would be offensive for the people who hire me and spent their hard earn money and they expect to have professional results, which an smartphone can't provide since i can't use it with flashes, trigger radios, lenses, etc.
The camera is a tool, sure you can take nice photos with any device, but with better tools you can have more and better control of the content making.

Well, the director of John Wick says - hold my blunt!

There are some people still support BlackBerry, HTC, Nokia, Kodak too, you know.
Beautiful looking camera. 35mm Is one of my favorite focal length. Smartphone cameras have gotten really good over the years especially with computational photography (Google Nightsight) but you still can’t cheat physics, the benefits of a larger sensor in dedicated cameras are still needed by many.

Luggging 10 lbs around you neck gets old fast. And this isn't amatuerish, you can shoot magazine quality photos with this.

There are difference between good POS camera & advance digital camera regarding money making.

In fact I trade my Sony RX100 vi with Fuji X-E3 as i'm more keen to rangefinder setup. I lost the compactness of RX, but the other aspects are paid off.
In love with their film simulation. Too bad i didnt get that 'Classic Neg' simulation.

Vinyl is trending, although you can get equally high quality audio from CDs, FLACs, and Tidal.
I guess for these cameras (I'm not talking about DSLRs), it's the... physical (?) aspect of it? Holding an actual camera, fiddling with its settings, etc.

This is a compact camera for street shooters (even professionals). Not a compact for vloggers or as a travel camera (even if it can be used as such).

Many people will buy this camera, or Fuji's cameras in general, for their great colour science (a.k.a "film simulation" modes) in JPEG.

A... moreAverage users like you won't care of course, this camera is aimed for advance - pro photography users, you can easily use this Fuji X100V as professional tool since the big APS-C sensor allows for larger prints and not counting processing RAW files for editing curve tones, applying LUT profiles, etc. You can't do that on any smartphone or even a basic point and shoot camera.... glad you enjoy your iPhone.

The writing has been on the wall for almost a decade for this industry. At first sight (not many will care about its function, PQ/VQ, etc). I see just a regular ugly bulky overpriced P-n-S that will not replace my iPhone Pro 11 Max on that rare, spare of the moment shot.

Clearly for this particular series, it stands for street & travel photography/videography. But i've seen many people make serious money using it as a professional job on specific occasion.
Plus they has other series for some Pro-Grade setup.
