Those who voted for 60 hrtz screen are probably oldies or have an eyesight problem. I'm looking forward for the 90 hrtz or 120 hrtz screen refresh rate. My Samsung phone responds like 10-20 seconds delayed, its very annoying and I paid for it for a considerable amount.

Every year, some unnecessary feature becomes a trend & then every OEM jumps on that bandwagon. 120Hz screens are not new in smartphones. They've been around since at least 2016 (Most Sharp phones came with them). It is primarily a gaming feature, which is why it wasn't implemented by other OEMs back then. Now that it's trending, suddenly everyone is making a big deal out of it.

I have nothing against it. I just hope OEMs would try to develop features & technologies that actually improve the way we use phones rather than just make our phones feel faster & smoother.

Absolutely amazing these refresh rates... I have a feeling that Asus Rog Phone 3 may adopt 240hz refresh rate as well as 240hz touch latency...

The industry will be snapping up the 240hz prescribed by Sharps Aquos Zero 2...

Somebody is pumping android with steroids... This is insane. Never have I seen such a jump in specs... Crazy cameras... Crazy Lppdr5 ram... Now UFS 3.1... 865 snapdragon... Refresh rates going to the moon... Hyper crazy charging... Amazing UI's... From color os 7 to oxygen os... Emui... Miui... It is becoming very difficult to keep up.

well in my opinion

120Hz/144Hz should be used for gaming phones
90Hz for flagships
60Hz for midange and entry level

with at least minimum of battery capacity 4000mAh

Love the Community, 09 Feb 2020Why not a great 90hz and 120hz screen with bigger ass battery. Never settle please.90 and 120hz will double and triple the price of the phone, you can't just think about them and a big ass battery and forget about the price. thats a deal breaker for most people.

Anonymous, 09 Feb 2020OP NeVeR sEtTlE with increasing prices lolI'm talking about all brands in general, not just OnePlus. Phones constantly innovate every year. Phones need to be and do everything. Why stop there so that's why people shouldn't stay at their comfort zones and never settle.

So people are still falling for maeketing gimmicks. Unless you are a gamer you will see zero benefits. If smooth ui scrolling and animation is your priority then you are not using Android anyway so scrap that. All the OLED battery savings over LCD are now diminished so there is no benefit over LCD.

Instead of worrying if your next phone wilk have the latest marketing fad such as high refresh rate display or 108mp camera maybe we should really be demanding quality instead. Aince the whole mobile industry went to OLED there are 90% of phones with horrible screens, screens of super subpar quality from low end to flagships with Note 10 the cake of flagship poor displays.

I agree 90hz is minimal. But now feels aged. I'll just jump to 120hz

Its like anything it looks amazing. Silk smooth for gaming. And so on. But we had this arguement. Battery life is serious crippled. So what do you want. Gorgeous screen or decent battery i always go for the later.

Finally, the console peasants and ocular agnostics will finally admit that once they see 90hz and 120hz, they'll be amazed by how buttery smooth it looks. I have a 144hz Asus monitor and the only time I go back to 60hz at some point was when I go to work and it's slow.

Admittedly, I made my RoG Phone II stay at 90hz because none of the games I have support 120hz. I wish Mobile Legends Bang Bang officially utilize 120hz. Until then, I'll stay at 90hz.
