Any information about the price in EU? This year I will change my phone and I really like the x2 pro. But if x50 pro will come about at the same price with x2 pro, why not a x50 pro? :D

I had a Sony Xperia Z3 with LCD and the blacks were totally visible compared to my S7 Edge's AMOLED, it's like the screen was turned off.
The blacks on the Sony were purple/grey, and you can see the screen is turned on.
Even Galaxy J3 and A5 2016 have deeper blacks and they aren't flagships.
Now comparing my OnePlus 7's OLED to my Redmi Note 5 AI's LCD, I can clearly see the fake blacks on the LCD again.
They use LCD in military and? They use rugged phones too probably.
Both are ugly but more durable.

- false information lCD drains less power at higher brightness OLED has efficient blacks but battery draining brightness
- False information this depends on contrast/ quality of panel LCD tvs for example are best for bright rooms cause they have higher brightness, on smartphones high quality LCD can do the same
-false information again OLED as a technology as a whole cannot meet high nits like LCD, hence why lcd has higher color volume
- not true is a fact equally, oled also crushes details with its blacks and have poor grays
- yes lcd does have worse viewing angles
id argue that oled has far more issues

When companies launch a phone with lcd, everyone attacks them and drmands oled
When they launch with oled, they start attacking again and say lcd is better or it's more cost effective

LCD screen tech has come a long way and is very good. Personally I prefer LCD IPS to Amoled. I have had many Amoled screens. They turn yellow after a while. And are not as sharp or as accurate as LCD and the colors are often unbalanced or over saturated.
I can get just as a deep black with an IPS LCD on my Xiaomi device and better looking LCD Screen than on my Amoled Oneplus.
All these people on about Amoleds being better is not always so true. Yes. There are very good points about Amoled. I like them myself. But LCD is just as good or if not better especially when it comes to resolution accuracy.
LCD screens have the edge. Why do you think so many professional DSLRs prefer to use LCD screens as opposed to Amoled.
There is no Amoled screens used in the military. Only LCD. There are many reasons... LCD IPS. Are excellent.
Consumers should be given the choice. Superior IPS LCD or OLED.

OLED isnt scalable in 8k and bigger screens because of costs
You might of heard of MicroLEd , here is the interesting part FIRST GENERATION micro led will be used in LCD backlight (an evolution of miniled but with micro led bulbs instead)
this will be incredibly cheaper and offer equivalent picture quality to oled without drawbacks
Lastly oled is mature technology with nowhere else to go interms of development/innovation...
Higher HDR requirements are also coming(4000nits etc) and OLED can barely do 1000nits and sustain it stably with poor color volume...

omg this year phones are trash with this punch hole or double punch hole ... if i must choose a phone with some notch better be tear drop. which is next to bezel ... holes 2x holes are worst from all there is space between hole and bazel which is waste of space and if you want to hide it you lose more screen space... best is tear drop middle then notches ... worst is punch holes

I want a phone screen technology that doesn't offer BURST performance but reliable, long term performance which LCD alone can pull off
Oled drains so much battery at high brightness and the high brightness heats up the display making it more likely to be damaged
burn in anxiety
Black crush issues
color calibration issues with high refresh rates
PWM flickering
i wish DUAL CELL LCD technology was mature enough to be in smartphones
LCD will kill OLED in the long run just like how LCD killed plasma
