All hail to Jack, DAC, and big Batt(V60)!!
Thank God and LG I've made the right decision. I'm enjoying my G7+ with my 80-ohm DT990 pro and Poweramp.

That too, with that blasphemous 5000 ... moreAs Zack from JerryRigEverything says, 'There is always room for the headphone jack' @ 5:50 on the Note10+ (which he now owns) Teardown video:

Love the Community, 09 Feb 2020LG now has the best of the best, the Sabre DAC!? Nice! Well, here's the thing. These DACs are ... moreDACs themselves have minimal output impedance, if the impedance is high, the problem is their amp. Incidentally, how high is it? 1ohm is still acceptable, 2ohm would be a serious PITA.
Pierpaolo, 09 Feb 2020I remember reading that recently there is a new tech in batteries that allows to pack more pow... moreThat's a welcome change. But it is NOT a reason to drop headphone jack. If anything, it again points out the PR bull***t manufactures pull around these two aspects.
AnonD-908380, 09 Feb 2020LG is even more anti-repair than Apple. I try to avoid this company from home appliance to oth... moreLG makes the best washing machines on planet Earth, hands down best OLED TV panels as well as some really good fridges so not buying their home appliances means you didn't do any research. You want the very best washing machine? LG You want the very best OLED TV? LG and Sony both with LG panel
Regarding reparability I have been using cell phones since 1997 (used GH337 was my first phone) and I have yet o have one fail one me. Closest one was HP/Palm Pre 3 after two years of use when modem firmware went bad and there was Apple iPhone 3G with bad audio chip again after two years of use. And that's about it.
Copy the cat, 10 Feb 2020Please removed the thinq thing. Since G7 thinq your mobile division lost! Bad name & bad luck"ThinQ" brand mean that your LG products equipped with AI and can be connected to other LG devices (not just limited to phones only) such washer, refrigerator, robot vacuum cleaner etc and you can control all your LG home appliances with voice control with AI through your phone and or smart speaker. So, its not limited to mobile division only
Copy the cat, 10 Feb 2020Please removed the thinq thing. Since G7 thinq your mobile division lost! Bad name & bad luckAgreed... at least just make it T or Q, not ThinQ
Promising finally a phone with 3 days battery life if the go for pure Android for fast updates
Hhhmmmm interesting, I might be considering KG again as my next phone

I can't seem to locate the microSD card / SIM tray. I hope there's a cooling chamber somewhere in there.

That too, with that blasphemous 5000 ... moreI remember reading that recently there is a new tech in batteries that allows to pack more power in the same space, and that explains why all new smartphones are coming with larger batteries.
If it can be same size and weight as lg V30,it can be a really good phone!
Anonymous, 09 Feb 2020Mmm looking at the inside of the LG V60. Inside are four cameras: massive main camera, ultrawi... moreyeah probably triple cameras with ToF one , but to be honest I hope they improve the ultrawide sensor to something like new huawei sensor , tele lens should be 8X optical but still a long way for LG .
but again LG ultrawide still deliver 4K60fps stabilizated since G7 and not capped on 30fps as samsung and others.
Anonymous, 09 Feb 2020They did with the G8. Anonymous, 09 Feb 2020They did with the G8. Some versions had dual rear camera while others had a triple camera setu... moreOh, I totally forgot. G8 series was pretty messy as well.
Fearghast, 09 Feb 2020They do not do that since LG V30, if I am not misstaken at least. LG G6 was the last butchere... moreThey did with the G8. Some versions had dual rear camera while others had a triple camera setup. They didn't give Europe the G8, but the G8S instead which had lower screen res, inferior camera setup and slower charging (18W instead of 21W on the regular G8). As long as they do this, I can't consider them
Fearghast, 09 Feb 2020You can fix that with high impedance adapter ;) But it's still fixing the problem that did no... moreYou're right. Those who removed it created a problem. Why? To BUY an adapter, for a headset you already have, and want to use. That is the disgusting part. Plus it generates more problems, mailfunction, simply loose it, given it's a nother thing you need to carry around... So as you said, it's just a fix, like duct tape

That too, with that blasphemous 5000 ... moreHaha
For example Xiaomi puta 5000-5500 mah batteries in Mi max series, 52XX mah in Mi note 10 . So who said it's not possible? Rest of them simply ditched 3,5 mm jack, dispite of the requests, feedback from the buyers. Because they "know" what we need, and "innovation" .... blah blah blah.. :P
