About time - should have been pulled sooner. Ditto for all trade shows.

Hope some of you who are mad with the cancellation of this old school event aren't the same people who call things like 3.5mm jack a thing of the past.

We have the internet lol. Just stream the reveals.

Shanti Dope, 12 Feb 2020Glad it was done this way. It's definitely for the good of "all" people vs the good of "some" ... moreWell, they announced to take a quarantine period they consider sufficient without symptoms. And use local staff from Spain. Only traveling a few executives.

But hey, it doesn't matter. What I am aware of is how bad the LG and Sony SATs are here in Europe. Ignoring many times their own guarantee, blaming you of everything or returning to you your allegued repaired products that in reality are refurbished ones and not the original you sent to the official SAT, plus often, in a worse state of deterioration. Which implies that they'll probably fail again too. And add how badly they are with the software, and LG the worst.

sanshiro, 12 Feb 2020Who cares. The mobile phones will be presented anyway online and in stores. Why do they even h... moreWorld Wide Congress let them contact between companies, organize meetings, view a big variety of product without travel to tens of countries and do business, sign contracts, etc.

So from the business and companies perspective, cancel the event is a big lose of oportunities. Nothing is charged to customers or extra cost added to phones due to assist to the MWC.

Glad it was done this way. It's definitely for the good of "all" people vs the good of "some" people like tech enthusiasts and journalists.
Anyone complaining about this cancellation either just wants to get the uncured virus or is plainly stup1d.
Xiaomi can just infect the virus to their fans, while LG, Sony, and many others could postpone their events due to their awareness of the disease.
