Vanilla S20 for me all the way. The new native 12MP primary wide camera module with a large 1.8 micron pixel is something I definitely look forward the most. The additional 0.3MP 3D ToF sensor on the S20+ is not my thing since the only thing it ever did was fake bokeh and it's crap, while the S20 Ultra is definitely way too expensive and 5G only (at least for the Malaysian market).

Mapantz, 17 Feb 2020I don't care if they call it UTG or how it's made. They are misleading consumers by saying it ... moreits glass, its made of the same materials, using the same techniques as regular glass, except its ultra thin, its as simple as that, so wether you care or not is irrelevent.
When the s10e came out, I was like OMG this one is perfect! Ley's wait for the S11e and then buy it! But hey, guess what.
Above 6.1 inches (current phone, which is already too big for me so i want to get below 6), curved edges (I really hate them) and no headphone jack. I'll stick to LG (hope the V60 is small amd available in the Netherlands), although I do prefer Samsung (bought the tab S5e and loving it except for the lack of a fucking headphone jack, but I like the spftware)

It's a pretty impressive phone no matter how you twist and turn it. But, I think I'll settle for the lower powered Z Flip, simply because that is something completely different from the decade of "same as last year, with a bit more oomph".
Well, I'm probably the only one in the entire thread that actually love the S20 Ultra and will buy it on release day. I love big screen phones and 6,9" is perfect for me and my big hands.
I don't mind paying the price as well. It's expensive, yes but tech is something I love and will gladly pay for a great user experience and top notch hardware. Can't wait to try out that new screen, camera and play games on it. Wow. Great job Samsung!

Mapantz, 17 Feb 2020Do you honestly think that it is acceptable to call the z flip the 'first-ever folding glass s... moreI have seen the jerry rig video and samsung have stated that LIKE the galaxy fold, the flip has a plastic membrane fitted to the screen, in this case its UTG instead of plastic from the fold to stop it from being damaged, that same membrane was what people started removing on the galaxy fold, and it having to be returned, it is now BUILT into the phone, and sealed with the thicker bezel to avoid peeling off and or particles getting inside and underneath the display, that bezel also keeps the glass from folding completely as it wouldn't be possible yet without breaking, look up how UTG is made and used
Samath N8 808 owner, 17 Feb 2020I voted "Samsung missed the point entirely" and "Its not for me" because... no 3.5mm jack. ... moreThe 3.5mm jack argument is old time to move on, people have adapted, the markets have changed, bluetooth earphones have gotten significantly better since the iPhone first removed the port, you won't see the jack ever again I doubt, in most flagships and even mid rangers are removing it, time to adapt, most half decent bluetooth earphones will match the sampling rate output for most phones anyway, almost no user can tell the difference between a flac file and a high quality mp3 file anyway, that's a fact, to really appreciate high quality lossless music, invest in home stereo equipment, forget using a smartphone or media player, as they very rarely can match it even with the best earphones, that's another fact for the day :-)
I voted "Samsung missed the point entirely" and "Its not for me" because...
no 3.5mm jack.
See, you might argue that I'm overreacting, but consider this, I'm purposely getting a Samsung phone (S10) only for their splendid audio quality, and to use them with my 3.5m headphones.
I don't want to carry an adaptor everywhere & why must I?
Will market researches decide what I must have or not have?
Maybe if they launch an S20e after judging the market response, with 3.5mm jack, maybe we'll have best of all worlds?
I would buy and vote for S20+ but I want smartphone on snapdragon not exynos. Very dissapointed.

Uhm... Give me some of that goodie-good that you are smoking. Not once you send any link to my profile on this article.
I bet you see Kobe, Bernie Mac, Ronald Reagan, and MLK right now, huh?

Again, this isn't the first time that troll on Jerry Rigs Everything starts trolling with lies. He did the same with the Galaxy Note 4, I think it was. When he deliberately faked a scratch test and stuck to his lie for weeks until he finally admitted he's a liar.
Maybe stop watching trolls like him on YouTube if you can't read between their lies.

When the uninformed consumer reads the word GLASS (and very selfish deceitful Sammy knows this), they automatically assume more rigid properties compared to plastic and they are not going to think just by grazing the display with their fingernail will scratch the display.

It's complete marketing rubbish that they shouldn't be using. That "glass" screen isn't going to last like a real "glass" screen.
I'm going to ask you again; Did you see Jerry Rig's video? That screen isn't flat. There's a crease, and there's also a concave area around the front facing camera. It looks, feels and behaves like a plastic screen does. It shouldn't be marketed as glass, period.
Mapantz, 17 Feb 2020Don't waste your time on this person. They have taken the main point about the z flip and some... moreThey are using UTG. It's a trade mark. Ultra Thin Glass.
The behavior is when you touch it, when you look at it. The surface is flat and clear. Compare that to the Razr, where the screen is warping and looks muddy, like plastic screens do.
I think I will pass on the s20 series, my note 10+ is still only a few months old and i have no doubt that all of the specs 9n the ultra will transfer to the note 20 line and more, the camera crop samples from that 108mp camera are insane though, i hope the rest of the camera setup performs as good, hopefully the aggressive processing gets toned down further
