AnonD-771260, 17 Feb 2020Now when there are reviews out on youtube Samsung should apologize for calling phone screen - ... morei have not verified this yet, but according to some tech websites the "utg" on the z flip is actually topped with a plastic screen protector like the one used on the galaxy fold. this is not confirmed by samsung yet as well.

Now when there are reviews out on youtube Samsung should apologize for calling phone screen - glass. It is just plastic and it can be scratched with nails.
It is still nice phone though but Samsung is playing marketing games to attract more buyers.

I heard that this had a plastic screen advertised as "Ultra Thin Glass" which is just what I expected.

My opinion: Now that's the shady and scammy Samsung I know. Keep making me proud by continuing to legally deceive your fanbois. Remember, kids, UTG®™ which is our way of saying "our plastic has a name and that name is 'glass' heck, we might as well paint it yellow and call it gold, you'll buy it anyway".

PartTimePhoner, 15 Feb 2020Doesnt apple hard glue it as well?Nope. They were the first ones to use pull tabs as far as I know. Swapped batteries on a 5S and a 6.

Its like saying that you will not buy car because they use blue plastic protectors for cables under the front right seat

Its all cool and dandy.... but using metal sculpting tool to pry those connectors is pure horror.... you can get nice plastic disassembly tools for less than 5 bucks...
