Sharp did a pretty good job here. It was a pleasant surprise for me today to see this device. I did not expected the successor or the R3 to come this early, and with these specs.
For those who worry about the battery capacity, this device has an IGZO display, which even more power efficient than Super AMOLED from Samsung.
If you want to buy this device, I can help you out, even if the phone will not come officially outside of Japan. There is a website called kyoex(dot)com. They will sell it when it will be unlocked. Build quality is amazing at every Japan made Sharp, trust me! :)

I have been very curious about Sharp smartphone for a while. I wonder how good the camera, UI, performance, screen quality and other things are on their phone. I wish some of their models were available outside of Japan.

I would've honestly preferred they increased the top bezel for the selfie camera so they don't need a notch but what do I know?

Is it me or the waterdrop notch seems big and they could've shrunk the top bezel and moved the fps a bit lower or just go with side or back fps

Now that is a monster flagship. I thought GSMArena community has a hard on for Sharp. Why do I see negative comments there?
Remember folks, IGZO IPS LCD is just as superior as any ordinary OLED out there.

I remember it was the plan like 2 years ago.It's kind of a smart move for them to not go international considering the recent trend of low end flagships from Chinese company vastly available everywhere else, its kind of hard for them to get recognized. Even company like Sony are downsizing their western market and focusing more on their local market for their smartphone division due to low sale number. Plus Sharp has quite the popularity in their local market.
